The dreaded Secondary Air Injection issue on my 1st Gen, tips?

    The SAIS is always an area of concern with me....usually rears it's ugly head with DTC codes P1442 & P1445 for me right before smog time every 2 yrs .....

    Yes here in CA..... in particular SoCal...Sunny San Diego....best weather in the nation ...according to some..

    Anyway, I deal with it by clearing codes and hope that my emissions readiness monitors will complete error free next time....then running it up to smog shop to pass....then I am good for another 2 yrs...

    Yes, not ideal situation until I go in and replace smog pump and test and unclog ASV's if needed...

    Hewitt bypass kit is simpler but not a viable option in CA unless you know a dishonest smog shop...
