I'm considering just running the CB +2 shackle on a TRD Pro. Is that a valid setup to regain rake from the front TRD Pro lift? Is anybody setup this way?

The CB +2 adds 1.25” of lift in the rear. If your Pro is like mine, you should have about .5” rake from the factory. With the CB +2 you should end up with a total of about 1.75” rake.

I have CB +2 and 1/4” shims for the front that I’m installing on mine. Should end up with 1”-1.25” rake with this set up.

Less than a year later I'm on the Billet Icons with the delta joint and wow what a difference. I did a bunch of wheeling after install and is much more decisive and "on point" without any wander at hwy speeds.

Installed some Coachbuilder goodies on my Pro yesterday. +2 shackles, 1/4” shim+1/8” shim (for 3/4” total lift up front), and carrier bearing spacer. Love the stance with some slight rake and the 295’s don’t look all stuffed now.

@DjSamthrax can you recommend an installer for the full TRD Pro kit in the TC's area? I bought my truck thru Walser Lake Country this past year and am ready to do the install, just have to find a recommended tech. Thx!

Just ordered my TRD Pro kit today. I went ahead and ordered the wheel spacers to retain the factory wheels. Did all you guys who retained the factory wheels put the 1.25” spacers on too? Seemed like the website said it was a requirement…

You’ll have to run spacers with the factory wheels for the steering kit to fit.

The Bora 1.25” spacers will take 3 or 4 weeks to ship. Just a heads up if you are going with those.

It was me that ordered them, but yeah, that’s what he told me on the phone when I placed the order. But, he did also say the last order he placed he had them in 2 weeks so…that’s encouraging.

Does anyone know, because my mind has been racing about how this will look when installed…should I be going with 2 spacers on the drivers front and one on the passenger front? Also, will the +3 shackles give me a ridiculous rake? Pretty sure that’s whats standard in the kit. I think he said 1.75” in the rear. Should I be going with the +2? I emailed coachbuilder but he’s so dang busy, he hasn’t replied and it’s been over a week. In his defense, when I initially emailed him and gave him my number, he called within an hour I just forgot to ask him these questions on the phone while I had him for about 10 minutes. I can call him back, I just don’t wanna bug him too much. Thanks guys!

I’m measuring from the centerline of the wheel and I’m at 23.5” on the passenger side to the lip of the fender, and 23.25” on the driver side.

Are you running the spacers? Sorry if you already mentioned it and I missed it. I ordered them so I’ll be running them, I’m just trying to get an idea of the wheel poke by your pics. Your truck looks great btw!

Thank you! No, I’m not running spacers. I bought the shims and shackles a la carte. I didn’t buy the steering kit so no need to run spacers.

Just got my call from David @ Ekstrom…apparently I’m getting the first run of the red coachbuilder kits in production. Between this and the supercharger I ordered from Harrop, this should shape up to be an awesome October!

Yes!!! Almost to nice to go under your truck! Mine would end up black anyhow after a couple years from Fluid Film treatments.

Got her done yesterday, all I have left is the bumper shims, carrier bearing drop kit, wheel spacers (when they arrive), and steering kit. Had a rough one and had to call David for advice. Sheared the front bump stop off on the passenger side trying to get it off to add the shim.
    22AD29B0-9CA5-400F-9E13-47DE8ACAEC8C.jpg
Was able to swing the lower control arm out of the way to allow a drill to get in there and drilled straight down the center about half way through what was left of the bump stop stud. This stud is surprisingly soft, it put up zero fight with a brand new drill bit.
    1C0B4B8F-2F46-429B-9C29-A6AA9EE04D2C.jpg
Threads were 100% unaffected and reusable.
    B744975E-88B9-42AC-BC21-67C455613F0D.jpg
So the install continued into the chilly evening and we got her buttoned up at about 6:30. A half hour after the sun disappears behind the mountains.

    And here is the before…
    46515910-4A79-450C-AE0D-AF1C4496A1A6.jpg
And after…time for bigger tires, and my wheel spacers…then we’ll do the steering kit and get the alignment knocked out.

Got a pretty good deal on them from simpletire since they let me use my wifes healthcare worker discount. 10% off. Never used simpletire before, always went to discount tire, but they won’t mount 35’s on an 8” wheel.

That will be sweet!! I started off with 275/70r18 and a year later went to 295/70r18 and now I’m eyeballing 35’s. I would go with the Toyo ATlll in D load which weigh about the same as the Falken 295’s I have on now. When I bought my truck I said I was going to leave it stock. Lol !
Can’t wait to see your truck all finished up.

Westcott. But thinking of adding a .25 coach builder shim to the driver side to correct the lean.

Looks great! Love those wheels. If your running the Wescott your won’t have enough threads on top of the strut to squeeze another shim in there. You on 35’s?
