Had 2 lifted tundras and I never got them. Everything works fine. I guess it really depends on the lift.

    Hello,
In process of lifting my TRD Pro. To confirm above, a 1/2" shim will give a 1" lift?

Anyone came across this issue and got a fix for it?.. before my CB Pro Kit installation, with 295\70 and took off the front forward flap, I didn't rub. After the install with the same rims and tires, on full left or right driving reverse, I'm rubbing towards the front portion of fender Liners, by that location where the small front mud flap was taken off at. I thought the bumper shims was supposed to clear this out, and it's weird that I'm now rubbing AFTER the lift.

This can happen for a few reasons.. Id say the caster is now set higher than it was prior to the lift going on. by lowering the caster the tire will come away from the bumper. If you need a hand going over in better detail please follow up . David 801.635.4872

Thanks David, I'll definitely hit you up for some advice. I've had this kit installed for a while, and it's a really small fault, I thought the alignment would fix it too, but I'm pretty much used to it now. If I play around with the steering wheel while backing up, and I get it to that sweet spot, I don't really hear it rubbing.

dumb question: I like the look/stance this provides, but is it compatible/appropriate for a non-TRD pro model? I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be, but I’m no expert. My truck is a 2016 SR5 DC 4x4.

It wouldn’t do you any good.. the whole point on the TRDpro models it adds lift to the leveling kit And keeps the Heart of the truck (suspension) all same...I guess you can do The shackles +3 and but only provides 1.75 lift. For Regular tundras there’s a lot More options and better lifts out there. Pro’s not many options unless switching whole suspension... lol

Thank you for the reply. Still learning.

I left my 07 TRD completely stock, but put 5100s on my 2016 (middle setting in the front; stock setting in the rear). I use my bed (mostly deer feed, but I’ll max out the payload) and I tow occasionally (double axle flatbed with a Polaris on it). The truck drags its tail under the load a little more than I would prefer.

I don’t intend to do anything too aggressive. I might put some 34s on it (with +25 offset) and want to have a bit more rake in the back to negate the dragging effect. I don’t intend to hijack the thread though.

Question for those in the know, whats the ride difference between 1 shim and 2 up front? Clearly adding shims has to have some affect on the suspensions capabilities right? What are the disadvantages of adding them, less travel, over extending, ride quality ect...?
Thinking about adding one more shim on each side to get a little extra up front. I have one on each side right now.
    Thanks

Has any one stacked an additional .50 shim on top of the inch shim included in the Coach Builder kit? If so, did the have any issues? I want to avoid to much rear rake.

    Thank you

Yes, i ran into same problem and then was told The thin shim needs to be installed under the top plate and above the coil. The coil needs to be compressed and center nut removed in order to remove the top plate. The thicker shim sits above the top plate. I am concerned it may cause issue with with UCA's.

Just got the coach builder kit installed without the bora spacers on my 2020 trd pro. Caster is slightly out of spec and shop is suggesting new uca's. Stock bbs wheels with 295 coopers. Is it normal to do the uca along with the cb kit?
