The chrome bumper ends are actually metal? Not just chrome colored plastic like other parts?

I've been de-chroming my Limited. Color keyed mirror caps, pro grill and black door handles.

I'm undecided about the front bumper ends. Upon examination, they appeared to be metal, so I took a magnet to them, and viola! Metal. Colored ones would be plastic, wouldn't they?

It's sort of a checkmark in the plus column for keeping the chrome bumper ends if it's metal. Seems more durable in a place that could potentially damage easily.
