After the sound project was complete, came the tuning. That actually took an hour or so, just getting it exactly how it sounded the best. The results are actually more impressive than I thought it would be. I have a video while sitting in the back seat, with my radar detector bouncing up and down from the clean hard hitting bass. The balance is perfect and it will simply blow you out of the cabin. The was a sound competition audio guy that stopped by and said my system could win SQ competitions. . The money and effort were both a big win. I now have a sound system to enjoy. The cab feels solid, with no rattling or bad vibrating, except where you expect it. I put all the pictures together in this post

Now that the sound is done I can continue with the pre wiring for all the lighting. Switch pros controller mounted on the radiator core support SDHQ makes a nifty little mount for it that takes up zero usable space. I am actually picking up bumpers tomorrow, from ICI, so things will begin to move a little more quickly. I am still waiting for the last shipment of lights.. The goal is to have almost all the lighting done by the first of February. I will be leaving for King of the Hammers Feb 7th, at Johnson Valley California. The Switch pro is actually alive since I hooked it up to test it out. I will label it after all the wiring is complete, lights mounted and tested IMG_0747.jpg

I went with the Trophy Front and the Baja Rear. Both are light weight . I will be blacking out all of those rivets/screws The lighting will be 3 Baja Designs LP9's in a combo pattern. The center being amber. 2 Racers on either side . The lower corners will get Squadron Pro's Flush mount , with a combo pattern in Amber . I can tie these into the driving light circuit of the truck . The hood will be a 40" S8 , not sure what lens I will use for it yet . The back bumper gets a pair of Squadron sports tied into the reverse circuit. I don't have mounting for the RTL on the bed yet. It seems I will fill the entire 8 circuits of the Switch Pro since the LP9's have a high and low feature

I don't have it all adjusted yet, but I picked up the bumpers today and installed the front. Since I didn't have help, the adjusting wasn't happening.IMG_0805.jpg IMG_0807.jpg IMG_0831.jpg IMG_0830.jpg The lights will definitely bring it to life.

I gotta know. If you went right and replaced the suspension and wheels/tires that came with the Pro, why didn't you just get a SR5 or even TRD offload? Seems like it would have been cheaper that way.

    Good question.
(1), I wanted the cement color, only available (at the time) in the TRD Pro .
    (2) I love the stamped, bed
    (3) I also have the leather TRD Pro seats
    (4) Who said I paid list price for it ? (I didn't)
    (5) I was able to sell the pro suspension for a good price, I can even sell the wheels too, if I choose. I had quite a bit of the suspension I was going to put on it already.
    (6) If I wouldn't have chosen the Pro, I would have gotten the Platinum and still spent the money.

When you do this, will you share some info? I currently have my rear Squadrons tied into a switch on my SwitchPros but it'd be nice to also have them on the reverse circuit. I'm just not sure how to go about making that work.

Thanks for chiming in Ron. I didn't even get a notification about the question. You saved me hunting down a drawing like this.

Made some progress with a few minor details . Bumpers installed, with lighting up next . One note about the bumpers are that I have since painted the silver washers. All these lights are wired in and working. The LP9's are frikkin incredible. They have a low beam (bottom 3 elements in the housing) The last pic shows the low beams. They also have a high beam, all the elements, light up. The upper remaining elements are long range spot beams, then there is a back lit feature, Which should be one of the last pictures . I have those tied in with the running lights. I like it because it doesn't copy the raptor, 3 little bulb grill lights . Unique and awesome . What surprises me the most is the spread, with low beams. It's just a perfect wide pattern, that has no dark spots. It's like it became daylight, all of the sudden. These lights are stupid impressive . You cannot appreciate them in a picture , for sure . The Switch Pros made it a flawless install. There are a few more lights to be installed yet, but this gets the job done

It's been a whirlwind for the last two weeks. I made up my mind that I was going to the "King of the Hammers" in Johnson Valley OHV park, Ca
I wanted all my lights installed and functioning correctly. Here are a few more
Baja Designs RTL-S . Since I don't have a bed rack yet. I sure didn't want to install it on my bed rail. It would be easy to swipe and it just wouldn't look so good. I made a bracket to mount it behind my head rests. You can see it fine , through the light and it also is a little higher of a mount. I actually is strong with no movement and vibration. The next day was wiring everything. it was time consuming because you utilize 4 separate circuits, brake/running/signals/flood wired into the switch pro. Everything else was taped into the respective circuits, through the tail lights . Power consumption is so small, you don't need relays

Next up was cutting some holes into the flexible material of the front bumper , for the squadron pro amber. With the angle, they will be a ditch light. I need to change the lenses from combo, to all wide driving. the beauty of getting lights that have that versatility. While I was at it, after prettying up all the wiring, I install both of the ICI Skid plates. That went smoothly

Enough with all the mods. At least for now, so I can go play with my toys.:) Leaving for the King of the Hammers, with my 17 Viking trailer. I arrived after dark and had to find a camp spot that kept me away from some of the dust. Good lighting helped with that :) . I was in a jamming mood , driving out there, so I flex my speakers a bit with a few great tunes to make sure stuff is working right. These are just a few I picked out from the trip there. The system is working awesome !!IMG_1322.jpg IMG_1330.jpg IMG_1333.jpg IMG_1238.jpg IMG_1257.jpg

One more mod I decided to get at the event. it's from a company called Buggy Whip. These lighted poles/safety flags, are awesome.. They have all kinds of colors, but I chose the patriotic Red/White/Blue pole . The mounts are nice. This won't be its permanent home, but it can be a secondary location. This was a small canyon I crawled up. I did this earlier in the day and a jeep that was behind me was sure I wasn't going to make it up. He made a comment at the top that my truck flexed well :) , I was out with Baja Designs for a photo shoot, so we got a few at this climb

I like the BD RTL-S mounted there, would work well for me. Was worried about glare off the back window, how is it?

There is a little bounce back, off the window. I didn't have time to correct it, but I am going to make a shield, that will attach to the top of it and end about 1/2 inch from the window. It could be a s simple as something like a piece of plastic , not sure yet, but it will solve that problem

    Pro suspension, sways
You could wrap it with a horse hair gasket. Their made for sliding windows and doors to retain contact while moving. So, it can be blacked out completely with no worries of window interference. I've not seen it used in a truck before, but it does apply to the issue at hand.
