Sorry this happened. When it happened to me, I ended up with an ARB in front & ranch hand in back. 2/3 paid for by Geico.

I was watching one of those court TV shows. The same thing happened that happened to you. So he took the guy to court to collect. The guy who hit the parked car said he didn't do it. The security video showed the guy hit the car so hard it moved. The guy still insisted it wasn't him. He lost the case. I guess if you have security footage, you could call the police. Hit and run is a crime. Then you can bring the guy to court if he has no insurance.

On other story that happened to me...I have to share. Two companies combined and the manager that it would be good to have dinner and meet. After dinner as I was leaving, a group of people run up to me. "Is that your Corolla..Is that your Corolla??? A brown Lexus backed into it and took off. Here is the license plate number. " Then they handed me the card of a lawyer that saw it and said I could call him. So I called the police. He filled out a report and asked if I wanted them arrested as hit and run is a crime. He gave me the persons name, address and phone number. I said no to arresting them. Nobody was hurt. I'll call them and ask them to pay for the damage.

I called them the next day and they woman answers. She asks who I was. I said I am the owner of the Corolla you blasted in the parking lot last night. She said "It wasn't me?" I said...Look lady, I found you as the police gave me you contact info.
I have a bunch or witnesses that saw you. The policeman said I could have you arrested. I said no. But if this is the way you want this to go...…" She said..."Can I call you back in 30 minutes?" I said yes. 30 minutes later she calls back crying and said (classic) "I'm so sorry. I was somewhere I shouldn't have been with someone I shouldn't have been with. I had to get out of the house. Please don't have me arrested."

I told her I really didn't care about any of that. Just call your insurance company. Tell them you hit my Corolla. It was all your fault and to fix it. She did.

    Damn^^^^ lol,
I remember when I worked at Target AP this guy knocked on our door, it was rare for our store since we really didn't interact with customers unless other circumstances were in place. This guy claimed someone hit his car and he wanted video, so I asked him pertinent information and I would get back at him. Long story short, I saw this guy walk towards the store and I lost all video, I mean every last camera was down. I called IT since they usually have overall control and they had nothing either. This guy was already having a bad day, at that point it just became worst. At the same time we had no evidence the vehicle wasn't already damaged to begin with.

A few weeks back I watched a young man back the lifted truck his daddy bought him into a brand spanking new F250 in Target parking lot. He tried to leave but I talked him into waiting for the owner while we paged inside. I probably overreacted a bit but I was super pissed when he tried to drive away. He really nailed it too

This could happen at any parking lot but it did make me laugh when I read “Walmart customer “ I knew it would be bad.

Yeah that sucks. It's a hit and run for sure. Nothing you can do which is unfortunate. When if you caught the person with the car, if they refuse to give you their insurance info/drivers license it's still a hit and run.

I have a smaller version of that from a shopping cart. In no rush to replace but do any steel bumpers work with the rear parking sensors?
