Thank you to the person that stole my leaf blower

Hmmm... That gives me a crazy idea for the forum! Maybe we could have a section where we advertise things around our house/garage that need to be "upgraded", and ask help in making the stuff disappear so we can tell the wifey we have no choice but to replace/upgrade. The "thief" can sell the items and the parties split profits - terms and conditions would need to be agreed upon prior to the "disappearance".

Or maybe I've just had one too many drinks tonight. Whatever.

 

Same thing happened here last month, my wife left the garage door open for the cats to run in and out, she heard a odd noise, thinking it was the cats playing didnt give another thought. I went out an hour or so later to get some meat out of the freezer and looked at my wall tool rack and thought to my self thats odd, somethings missing. Got the meat for grilling and was at the sink and whammmm! My brand new Stihl weedeater was missing. turns out some crack-whors were in my neighbor hood walking in to peoples open garages steeling stuff. I called my local constable and Luckily they were caught about 45 minutes a few blocks over. It took a week and some paperwork but got it back.
Now no more open garage, dam cats can play in the back yard....

My buddy has those accordian stands and puts them out front when he leaves his garage door open. It works to keep prying eyes out as well as he sun when working in there.like these

That’s not a bad idea. I live in a pretty rural area so someone must have seen me using it at the end of my driveway and decided that they needed it more than me.

Same here, rural but garage doors aim right at the road. I have the tools on one side and always leave the door for that bay closed so people cant see. Its typically someone you know or a neighbor so if you hear/see one using it this fall go down and spear-tackle em

 

It was a Husqvarna 360BT. It was a great blower and was invaluable during the fall and spring. I have a couple of acres of cleared land that has a lot of tree coverage so raking it is out of the question. I’m gonna get the 570BTS because of the anti vibration handle. My old one did make my hand go numb after an hour or so of usage so that‘s how I’m justifying the purchase again.

 

If you decide to upgrade again or dont like the new one give me a shout, id be glad to come steal your new one so you can buy a tractor instead

 

I usually put my last name on everything but I never did with the leaf blower so identifying it might be tough. I’m guessing it was someone down the road from me though. Who knows.

Picked my 2015 B2650 with backhoe up from NY with 170hrs on it for $22k back in 2017. Theyre a must-have, frikin love this thing. Ive come home to it missing from the garage though, pops lives next door and knows where the keys are for it..

No vibration,quite, and pretty amazing power Husqvarna and Stihl both make nice ones

 

I have a hand held Echo blower/vac I got on clearance at HD for $60 a few years back. Thing works great. BUT will wear your arms out after several hours of leaf clean up. I am thinking about picking up either a backpack blower this year or a bagger for my zero turn for dealing with leaves.

I’m guessing the X series is the way to go with Echo? Is buying from Home Depot the same as buying from an Echo dealer? I know Husqvarna has different models depending on where you buy from.

 

Yes buying from home depot is the same as buying from a servicing dealer. If you HD has a full tool rental, not a tool rental lite like my store, that store can also service the equipment for you in house if the need ever came up. They should have a tool tech who does the repairs in house.
If not any HD can send the tool out for repair to our repair facility and take care of that way.
Or you can contact echo directly and ask for the nearest authorized service center.
