I’m glad I could make that list of, um, distinguished (?) people. I’m just doing what I’d hope someone else would do for me. Kinda live life that way and it’s usually worked out pretty well.

Seriously though, I know what you’re saying. I had my first Tundra for years and was pretty active on the forums that existed then, from 2009-2014 before work and life got in the way. I’ve also been in dozens of other forums for other topics over the years from guns to tractors to cell phones to CAD.

When I was starting to think about doing some major facelifts on my 2008 with nearly 300k miles or getting a new one back in September ‘20, I kept landing here when hitting Google searches. So I figured I’d join to make it easier to find info.

Never in my life did I imagine I’d end up making the friendships and bonds that I have. I’ve been part of fundraisers. I’ve FaceTimed people through troubleshooting wiring issues. I’ve mailed 8-packs of ridiculously expensive beer to people on the other end of the country. I’ve played Secret Santa. I’ve met up with people in person when thousands of miles from home on a business trip just to say hi. I’ve laughed so hard that I’ve fallen out of my chair. I’ve cried openly reading a few things. I’ve fed a few trolls (and sniped a few).

I think, more than anything, I found a place that restores some of my faith that people are genuinely good. When you strip away the politics and the bullshit going on seemingly everywhere right now, you get a chance to just see other people as people, and hear their questions and see their struggles and listen to their jokes and you want to do the same.

    :fistbump:  :drunk:

I agree about this forum and most of the people on here . One of the benefits to not driving a Tundra is I'm not compelled to spend money on my truck . lol . Some of the trucks on here certainly look amazing .

Could not agree more with this post. I've only been here about....wow, holy crap, 2 years now!

Anyways, I've helped and been helped by various people; have done the Secret Santa thing; have gotten great deals and pointed others to deals; have prayed for (and with) people who needed a virtual shoulder to lean on; and so on. My life has been made the better for having y'all in it. :)

My list on how this forum has changed my life is long as hell. I jumped on this forum to figure out putting a stereo in my truck. It’s so funny to me to look back at where I started on this site it feels so different and so distant with everything that has happened since. I want to thank the OP for this because I truly believe that we are all very luck to have this place. It is important to be thankful. It’s to easy to bitch especially about bull shit. We need to take the time to appreciate and that is exactly what this thread is about. I’ve made true friends I have a fucking crew I started ToyoMafia all here on tundras. I’ve also laughed cried and helped. I can’t thank you all enough and again OP thank you.

    Thank you for being here!

I'm always happy to see things like this. I can relate 100% as my tundra was my divorce present to myself. I've leaned on some members here throughout that journey, and picked up some personal friends in the process. :fistbump:

Glad to have you and glad things are look up for you! This forum is the best I've ever been on. No joke, I spend more time here and am more involved with people here than on the forum I helped start and currently moderate. LOL. I came here when I dumped my F150 and was looking to go back to a Toyota. The other forums were alright. This one became an online "home".

    Too many, but not enough....
I agree with OP as well, this forum is the bees knees. I came from a ranger forum and this place has more activity in the banned memorial thread than that whole forum did.

If my wife and employer knew how much time I spend on here, I would be sleeping in my truck as well.
