Just my opinion on the 2 as I've stayed in both. I like Chattanooga because it felt more calm. Several touristy things to do. Kinda laid back. Knoxville while it's been awhile since I've been. I think it felt more big city like. Busy.

haha much appreciated! I hate that we liked both cities hahaha.

We are moving from Flagstaff, AZ, and we enjoy our camping, hiking, and mountain biking. I am currently a 2-minute bike ride to a massive network of trails. haha my personal and selfish priority is access to mountain biking hahaha

But our priorities are to have a few acres of land so we can have a massive garden, chickens, and pigs. Hoping to live that homegrown lifestyle and still ride mountain bikes hahaha

My wife and I both work remotely, so we have a lot of flexibility.

Man that is tough. I personally like Chattanooga trails better than Knoxville... But windrock is also up by Knox if that is your cup of tea! I am a mountain biker myself. May be tough to find the luxury of pedaling to trails here in the south but could get lucky for sure.

Some of the best riding is in Pisgah, Asheville, Brevard area and you will be close to that from either city.

As others have mentioned, Chatt is more mellow and could be your cup of tea!

Thank you for input! I will definitely have to reach out to you when I move that way. You can show me around the trails and I will buy the beer.

One more thing....Do you think there is a market in East Tennessee for a Toyota specialty repair shop? I ask because I am planning a small repair shop as a side gig. I worked for Toyota & Lexus for over 10 years and really enjoy repairing Toyota's.

in short, yes. I do. East TN has probably the largest off road and overland market in the state given its access to trails and the outdoor activity.

we suffer with options here in nashville and I actually drive to Nolensville which is about 45 mins away for all work I can’t do myself…

What’s up TN folks. Here’s my tundra. I’ll be moving out to Murfreesboro from Sacramento the first week of February. Anyone live in the surrounding area?

Welcome to TN. I kinda live in the surrounding counties. Occasionally go to Murfreesboro. About 40-50 miles away. Hope you like 30-40 degree weather swings.

Hey Tennessee gang! My parents just bought some property out in Oneida and will be moving at some point. Any local Toyota shops that can handle working on long travel etc also for regular service work that may come up?

Oneida is pretty rural by Tennessee standards. They would have a hard time finding a shop that works on long travel. Even harder to find one you could trust. For normal mechanical work they shouldn't have any trouble finding a local shop. For long travel work they can pick a shop in Knoxville.

I had that size for a while. Upgraded recently to the large camp chef. I loved my Traeger (hated the family, I grew up with them)... But need something bigger and I couldn't swing the price of the Timberline

It's pretty nice. Few things on it that make sense, being able to change how the flame gets to the top (direct/indirect diverter), a burn pot dump lever, a sidebox with attachable gas grill, pizza oven, or flat top.

Question for you folks. Finally got my 6” RC lift put on a few weeks back. First off I have about an 1.5 “ difference from front to back so should I get some shackles for the back to level it out or dig out the spacers in the front bilsteins to bring it down? Second it seems very hesitant now on take off could that be the rear end needing redone or angle of the drive shaft.

Hello fellow Tennessee folks, I have ADV Fenders and Bedsides for sale. PM me if interested $1100.

Caveat: I am no longer stationed in TN but my buddy has access to my storage unit in Clarksville. Bought these few years back. Never got a chance to install it.

I know there are 2 offroad shops in Knoxville. Rocky Top Customz and Rock Your 4x4.

Rocky top customz did my re gear. I'm not happy with the work they did, and I would not recommend them, tons of issues.

I've heard great things about Rock your 4x4, but I have no personal experience with them. I was going to use them for my re gear but they had a very long wait list.

I'm not too far from Oneida if you ever need help wrenching on something. I have a shop and tools. No lift though.

I also need another tundra to hit the trails with. Everyone is too scared to take theirs on the trails around here
