Also just wanted to mention for anyone with a 2020 Tundra the tpms harness from 12voltsolutions will NOT work on your truck. You have to cut the wire.

Can I still purchase a auto start on the group buy or did I miss it?

Just installed mine. Super easy to follow with the video and the "cut" wire was no big deal. Thank you so much James! Works great!!!

Just installed the car link... after purchasing only the remote start in the first group buy and then adding the car link after I must say the car link is a must for me. I had a annoying time hearing my pop n lock mechanism locking 3 times everytime I click the key fob to remote start. Now it just starts with the driver door unlocking then locking..thanks again James. I finally decided to splice the wire to have my driver door lock when it reNote start since I was taking everything apart.

Perhaps I seem to be the only one that thought the directions were a bit lacking...plus I’m not a fan of butt connectors.

I personally would recommend just going directly to 12voltsolutions for the extra money.

that said is anyone else having a tough time getting the kick panel completely back on?

There’s a white tab that you need to put back on the panel and push back. The white tab is probably still stuck on the metal behind the bolt with the ground wire

Got the white tab out and of course broke part of it... that said I’ll keep trying. Anyone else notice that the TPMS light flashes when remote starting? Or did I install wrong? Also do your memory seats and wheel not go back in spot?

I think it’s automatically programmed to turn off at 15 minutes. That’s at least what my wife’s highlander is set to.

just another note- my wife’s highlander was a breeze, this was a bit more of a pain.

Should turn off after 15 minutes and yes your seat doesn’t move back you must press the memory button for it to adjust your seat back

    Best I could get...

Driver side still a little off even after taking out the white tab. I’m thinking of using double stick tape.

I installed mined today... my only hang-up was that I followed the wiring diagram and this video. At around the 4:30 mark it instructs you to install the new T-connector which I guess has a pigtail for the white/black wire (for factory alarm). We don't have that T-connector in our kits.

I left James a voicemail and he promptly replied letting me know that the T-connect isn't needed and explained that the truck shutting down after 15min with the alarm is normal (at least I'm pretty sure that's what he said, I think he was with his family!)

there should be 2 white tabs...the tricky one is behind the ground connector; i had to start by installing the tow-kick at an angle to catch the upper tab, then rotate clockwise for the 2nd white tab & threaded stud. Hold it in place until the retainer is installed on the threaded stud.

I’ll try that method. Of course I broke the long part of that tab too so I had to glue it...

Well I put everything in tonight and nothing. Truck seams to function fine on its own, but nothing happens when I hit the lock button three times. Everything went together like the video and pdf. The lights did everything exactly as described too.

not sure if I can reprogram and try again?

OK I just sent James a PM and he called me within five minutes and explained that in 2018 and 2019 you have to pause quite a bit between each lock press. That was my only issue.I was pressing the lock button three times too quickly. I needed to wait maybe 1/2 of a second between each press. Thank you James.

I totally would have been cool if he waited until Monday to call me back. It was my fault that I decided to do this on a Saturday night but he called me back anyway.

I was basically in the same boat as you....after following the 99.5% of the instructions and couldn't get my remote start to work (after going back over the entire install/programming several times), I had to contact James for assistance. Taking the time on a Saturday afternoon to respond to texts, emails and then a phone call speaks volumes. If more individuals and businesses actually took care of their customers like this, this world would be much better off! I Very much appreciate his follow-up and assistance. I will absolutely continue to be a customer (actually, I did jump in on the AudioFrog deal also) :). This is just my sales pitch for the night...support those that take pride in what they do!

Installed mine today. Remote start and the MyCar phone link. FOB start worked like a charm right away. I ran into an issue with the MyCar programming ( I was turning key from run to off to run and then tapping brake, did that 4 times instead of just once on the key flips and then tapping brake 4 times) When done properly you'll see a little red light flash on the Fortin where the little yellow wire loop is cut. Anyways, he called me back within 5 minutes on a Sunday and squared me away. Wow. Great customer service! Will definitely deal with him again. Thanks James!

Only thing Ive noticed so far is sometimes after starting my truck with the MyCar app, and then killing it with the app...The (panic) horn alarm starts going off and continues till I hit the lock or unlock button. Anyone know whats up with that? Don't wanna bug James again on a weekend.
