    New member and first post as I just picked up my ‘19 CM last night so please forgive my ignorance:

    Will the truck shut down once it’s unlocked or entered? Or will it stay running as one unlocks, gets in, and puts the key into the ignition?

    Bolt on
    Truck runs for fifteen minutes and locks after starting. Hit unlock on key fob and doors unlock. Put key in ignition and into on position. Hit brake and put in gear you are now under truck power and not remote power. Doesnt shut off or no need to restart after in the truck.

    So...you don't need the carlink to run the A/C and Heat, It will operate normally with or without the remote start? I could just leave them on as we all do everyday and upon remote start will heat or cool at the last setting when truck was turned off??

    Yes, you can just use the standard remote start to heat/cool the truck. Adding the Carlink just gives the additional flexibility in that you can control the start/stop and lock/unlock right from your phone. The Carlink will work as long as you have a cell signal, so there are no range limits. The range limits on the standard remote start module will be limited to your current range with the key fob you use today. Hope this helps.

    Per the vendor the wiring is the same. It has the same H key fob unless you get the platinum or TRD which has the push button start.
