    I purchased a whole upgrade kit in November for a JBL 2019 CM and I did not replace the front dash or middle speakers. I am thinking about purchasing the dash. Would you recommend the middle or just leave it be? If I just bought the dash would it still be free shipping?

    what exactly did you buy? If you replaced the stock headunit, those speakers no longer work anyway. In any case, if you added amps and new speakers only, replacing the dash speakers is a waste of money since they can’t keep up with aftermarket stuff anyway.

    I thought it depended on the unit you upgrade to. Both the Tesla style and the Dasaita android units I have used power all the speakers, including the dash and the center channel. Actually on the Dasaita there are some people that have a buzz from the center channel at low volume if not properly grounded.

    I installed JL 3.5s in the corner dash & a 5.5" mid in the center running off the factory JBL amp (nothing else off that amp.) I had a 75 watt Kenwood I just replaced with a 100 watt Pioneer amp running the 4 door speakers and will be running the dash from the Kenwood soon but in between listened to the dash alone with the amazing Tech 12v sub and it sounded pretty damn good.

    I have the Pioneer turned down to match the volume of the dash for now and it sounds good. I'm looking forward to having all external amps & better speakers in the doors but for now it sounds pretty good.

    Had a few questions that I got answers to from your site GB, but have a few more.....

    Is this GB kit along with the add ons designed to work with the factory amp under the seat? Do you offer a plug and play option amp to install along with these upgrades?

    Edit: So after some reading, I think the dash fronts and center are run off the head unit and the doors are powered by the amp under the passenger seat? Is that correct?

    What is the centre channel jl c1 tweeter? Does it make a big difference?
    Does this system sound ok with stock headunit?

    I am interested in complete non jbl package with sail panels/j1c1 centre channel tweeter/Kenwood side speakers/pnp harness

    Why do you say this? 2014 non jbl truck and mine work. Bought From James last group buy for doors, dash and amp. Dash as far as I can tell is powered by my KENWOOD since I didn’t run new wires to my amp. Love it!
