Yes. All Americans need to worry about this. It’s called tyranny. The government decides what we can and cannot install on our vehicles. Even though ‘they’ are owned by vehicle manufacturers.

Jba was just bought by a large private equity firm. They’re afraid the government will fine them for making truck headers. Trucks are not ‘legit’ racing vehicles.

    Exhaust question!

I have a 2007 5.7 with the factory dual exhaust.

my buddy got a 2020 TRD PRO with the factory dual exhaust.
His sounds much deeper and throatier then mine does and now I hate mine lol.

which muffler sounds closest to the new TRD dual exhaust? I run a cap and tow frequently so I don’t want a bunch of drone.

Our 10” system will have a better sound on the throttle. Be quieter cruising and towing. Have better low end torque. And accelerates better. Call for details. 760-877-4234

Got it installed yesterday , losing a little over 1 mpg but then again that sound of the 8 inch exhaust is worth it

Hey, so I'm running this by my wife and she says: "Is it just for sound?!". When you say the 10" (which I'm 99% sure is what I want since I do a fair amount of towing) has better low end torque and accelerates better, is that compared to the 8" system or a stock system? If I can go to my wife with some other benefits besides the sound, I might be able to swing it. :D

Any of our ‘standard systems’ will gain 3-10hp and 10-20tq to the ground over stock. And because of the better low end torque thst they provide, slightly better mpg if driven the same in a before/after type of scenario.

I can verify after installing a 10” with resonator that my mpg is now slightly better and keeping my pedal commander at the same setting has more low end/jump off the line. I originally ordered assuming the low end claims were probably not noticeable but wanted a nice throaty sound. I can definitely say I got both. Very happy with the purchase.

whoever is claiming they lost 1 mpg I would double check the install for leaks.

the 10” is only really noticeable when you get on it and start up. Idle sounds a tad throatier. I didn’t even tell my wife lol! She thought I was installing a remote start all day. Therefore. Not as noticeable cruising. No drone, but get on the pedal and you for sure hear it. I tow and didn’t want to hear exhaust all the time. 10” is perfect for my application

After years of debating picking up a system for my 2018, and now my 2010, I finally placed an order for a 10" system last night. I installed JBA long tube headers and a JBA catback on my old Titan and really miss the sound, so I'm looking forward to getting this installed!

For the clamp between the tailpipe and the muffler Y-pipe, does anyone recommend replacing that or does the original tighten back up OK? Mine is a bit old, so I'm debating getting a new one.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but since i have the TRD dual exhaust, do I need anything special to use the exhaust, or will I just have the left piece left over?

Whats the difference between the stainless steel and aluminized? I live in the salt belt if that matters.

    You’ll definitely want stainless.

you’d want to use the stock tailpipe. Sell the entire Trd exhaust. This will give you way better low end torque.

I have been wanting to do this for a while now. Ordered mine last week, April 6th. Can hardly wait for it to get built and shipped. Keith answered all my questions before I pulled the trigger on the purchase.

From personal experience I would say if its older replace it, you can try it and see-no harm in doing so, but with mine I switched exhausts a few times and tried to crank it down all the way and it would not make a good seal until I replaced it. I believe Toyota recommends replacing it any time you take it off, but others have re-used it just fine. I think I tried my luck a few too many times though.
