Tattoos anyone?

Im not trying to be a cheapo by any means but I just thought that was a huge increase over the last several years. I was anticipating about a 1k tattoo, it’s gonna end up costing me double that now. But I think it’s coming along nicely.

I just wish it were cheaper so I could afford my other tattoo I wanted to get lol

 

How much do you guys generally tip your artist?

Here's my buddy getting a tattoo of a tooth in the middle of the woods around the bonfire we had going this past Saturday night in Connecticut.

He had his front tooth pulled and was anxious to get it replaced...

Would have loved to get a tat from this guy when I was younger. He does amazing work!! Daughter just sent me this!! Acostatoo. Look at this amazing tats!!!

Back in the day he used to work in Galveston but I had never heard of him, before he became famous. I found him a long time ago and filled out the questionnaire back then and even received a phone call from his assistant but it never game about!


Yup he changed his site even says minimum now is 3000.

 

I do not think I posted this but if I did it is always a conversation piece. Just some guy,, the other side is a Redfish with a Flounder on top

To do lettering like that,,,, talented individual right there! Nice.

 

One of the letters is a little bit light, and one is a bit heavy, but overall he did an outstanding job, especially considering just how much lettering there is.

I figured out how to attach a short video since the entire piece is impossible to capture in a photo.

 

And just for the heck of it, a few older and smaller pieces. Pictures might not be the best, and some of the ink is old and faded.

Inked by Lenny Duane (RIP) sometime around 1990. This was my first tattoo, done on a whim. I happened to drive past his shop, had a few hours to kill, and decided I wanted a tattoo. The design was copied from the Harley-Davidson shirt I was wearing.



And my second tattoo, also by Lenny Duane (RIP), approximately 1991. This was drawn by my girlfriend at the time. Unfortunately the red in the rose is almost completely faded, and I got a cut at work that left a nice scar through one of the leaves that was deep enough to completely remove the ink.



And then there’s this one by Diane Lange of North Wildwood Tattoo sometime around 2000.

 

So many of you know that we lost Beans this summer. We miss him so much……….and I decided to get a tribute tattoo of him. A local shop has an incredible portrait artist who did an amazing job.
