My truck is covered in little specks of tar and I cannot get them off hand washing. What is the best product and or technique to get it off?

Other options (wash off and polish when done), good also for bugs if you already have a can kicking around:

Good also for clothes, I used this to remove glue residue leftover after using my wheel tool when debadging:

My wife got tar on her car driving through a road construction site. I went and talked to the supervisor on site and he pulled out a jar of mayonnaise from his truck.

Sure as shit, took the tar right off. Mind you, the tar had only been on there about an hour or so.

Had a white tundra that I drove over fresh tar one night. Didn't notice till the next day when I went to visit a customer. 2 days later I used a can of wd40 and about 6 hours of elbow grease to get it off.
