But if you want some examples. The fast lane truck on YouTube does a few reviews that involve various titan models.

Well, I hate admitting it, but you ARE talking with an accountant. Facts being what they are fiscally speaking it may make sense at this point to switch to the Nissan Titan from a certain point of view as these are tangible facts. Running a cost/benefit analysis between the two vehicles and ascertaining the operating costs, quality, features, resale value, options, cost per mile, maintenance costs, insurance, monthly payment, interest rate, etc. between both vehicles are few of the things I would do. Plus consider length of ownership. On the other hand, there are the in-tangibles to account for as well. Such as...will the Titan XD make me as happy as owning the Tundra, is this going to be a smart decision other than affecting your bottom line, what does it have to offer in comparison, what other appeal it offers, You know, stuff like that. I often say ( and believe in) the statement, " You get what you pay for". I am a former F-150 owner and I chose Tundra over the other manufacturers because fiscally speaking it satisfied my tangibles and intangible requirements. It was no easy decision and took a couple of months of shopping, researching, obtaining data, seeking out unbias opinion from current owners, etc.

As an accountant I suggest you go and find yourself an owner of a Titan, introduce yourself and get their opinion...an unbiased opinion from them and review your data and go with your decision, but don't solely do it because the bottom line looks more attractive.

On a side note, a friend of mine is a current Titan owner and is considering switching to Tundra.

    TEXAS!

i WAS a titan owner (NEVER will be again). loved the '05 (only fault was that it could not swim; drowned with house and everything else i owned during harvey in houston). HATED the '17. what a piece of crap... seriously. only trying to prevent others from the same mistake i made.

as of last month, nissan is discounting ~14-15k. that's competing w/ the big 3 and KILLS resale value.

tundra is a tank, could not be happier w/ my current decision. '19 limited CM in cement. this is my "forever pickup".

as parrothead said, "you get what you pay for".

want to stymie people? i get asked all the time, "how's that 14 mpg?" my response is always, "i'll sacrifice a little mpg for long term reliability and highest resale value any day of the week."

The Name "Titan" is historically cursed ( I read that somewhere so it must be true!). Just look at the Titanic...look what happened to the Titans of Greek mythology. I am surprised Nissan used it. Stay away!!! That name is cursed!

Some good thoughts on here, another thing concerning the resale value is depending on where you live it might hurt you. My locality hits me for $1200 a year taxes on the Tundra because of "high resale value" In comparison when I had my 2014 Silverado I didn't pay over $200. So if I own the Tundra for 5 years will the resale value get me my 6k back or did I loose or break even? If your keeping the truck long term it really doesn't matter, resale is more of a bigger deal when your getting new trucks every few years IMO. As for diesel I thought about going that route as well and given current diesel prices and driving 22kmiles a year it was a break even with the Tundra even at 14mpg. That didn't include maintenance so the diesel would probably end up costing more.

I had a friend with a titan it was a 17 that on the rare occasion it wasn’t in the dealer with transmission issues
Or random electric gremlins it was thankfully totaled by a trash truck. I think they have bad karma right from the factory. I sold my 15 pro cause I thought I needed a diesel 3/4 worst vehicle decision I. Have made in a long while.
I had to drive past my pro every day on the drive to drop the kiddo off to school. And the reality was it didn’t tow much better and it sucked at everything else like turning around and parking. Keep the Tundra

I got my Tundra used at my local Nissan dealership. No attempt was made to try and get me into a used or new Titan. Sums it up right there.
