You will be fine. I’ve been on all types of terrain. Use the longer wheelbase to your advantage when picking lines. I would not suggest rock crawling unless you have a lift.

Thanks, I'll have to learn how to use that to my advantage. A lot of people I know are always saying how much of a disadvantage it is haha

Use his Taco for off-roading. Problem solved

Maybe with a regular cab long bed, but anything else would probably be too long.

I've actually done that lol. I got my dc short bed stuck on both ends in a deep ditch. I had to give it hell to get myself out lol.

I personally think you will be fine with using some common sense. What are the plans with the truck?
    Lift and tires, tires, stock?

I see longbox diesel trucks pretty deep into the CO mountains, and those trucks are bigger than yours. Only so far one can get with the “land yacht” anyway.

The utility company I work for uses F350 trucks for the water shed employees. 3” lift, 33-35’s Cooper mud terrains, winch bumper/winch, and usually a 4x4 quad in the bed. I’ve been amazed at were these guys go.

Long-term plans are 3" lift, 35's, skid plate, and custom rock sliders (no one sells them for the long wheel base).

You're right, that's definitely a big truck they've got there!!

That's what I'm thinking! And ya, I've always anticipated that it's inevitably gonna get some abstract pinstriping and some dents here and there but at least then I got my use out of it haha!
