Finally a man with some logic. Once I had my perfect setup I cut the excess off and spot welded the ball in place. Never ever give that hitch a second thought at 70 mph

I saw one of those trailers while I was driving down the road yesterday - they have a TALL hitch height! It has hitched to a 3/4HD pickup and the hitch was still sitting higher than the rear bumper.

I don’t think the OP will get the right height by flipping the hitch. Instead, simply cut off an inch or so of the hitch that sticks up, as has been suggested. Structurally it won’t affect anything m; you are just shortening the amount of drop/lift you could potentially set up the hitch for.

Does this Mini Winnie have the adjustable height suspension? I thought some did. Lowering the trailer if you don't intend to off road may help the situation.

Not exactly related to a hitch, but I did one of these on my lite travel (about 3500-3800lbs loaded) trailer Called a Jack-E-UP (odd name but great idea)....Love it every time I use it and basically it allows you to pull your trailer jack out and throw in the bed (had it on my trailer for about 4 years now). Can lower tailgate with trailer hooked up. Can't rip off a jack on a dip offroad or a steep curb if it isn't there
