I did attach them to the metal. Sorry for the delayed reply, I haven't been on here much lately.

Have this same set on mine as well. May or may not be selling them soon if anyone is close to Charlotte.

They fit pretty good. The screw holes didn’t quite line up 100% but they are in sturdy. The gap doesn’t really bother me honestly. I have a tail gate wrap so maybe that helps make it not as noticeable haha.

My gap is a smidge larger than I'd like too, but no leaks after 1 year. Hardly noticable once you start looking into your next truck project.

Had the oem's not been so nice of a fit I wouldn't have paid attention to this.

They are not labeled you have to peel back the wire covering and check wire color.

I wish that was the case I would have avoided the fuze pop but If I recall correctly it was green top white middle and red with a black stripe being the negative I didn't notice the very thin black stripe and figured it was positive I did mine at dusk and overlooked it.

I just installed these on my 2019 TRD PRO and they look awesome. Installation was a breeze, maybe took 5 minutes.

For what it's worth I got the Akkon's to try and was unhappy with the gap...at the tailgate side of things. I have a silver truck and could just see too much body work behind/between the Akkon light and my tailgate. The screw holes lined up pretty far off too, but no matter what I tried I could not close the gap between the lens and the tailgate. It's like they have a mold just a smidge too small along the tailgate portion of the light (fitment elsewhere was fine).
