Hey - did anyone hear that the 2022 doesn't come with tow hooks?

    What's up with that?

You know why that train went off the rails though?

Improper lubrication of the brake rigging! The engineer and fireman lubed the brake rigging with a conventional grease instead of synthetic. Then when they went to apply the air brakes to stop before going over the cliff the brake rigging got hung up and even though there was brake cylinder pressure it couldn’t overcome the friction and binding. So the brake shoes never applied sufficient pressure to the wheels, and the whole locomotive careened off an unfinished bridge unable to stop. Everyone died, and the boiler explosion killed a litter of puppies too.

So the moral of the story is to use synthetic lubricants or you’ll end up killing yourself and puppies.

Not sure what brand synthetic Nissan uses. I guess I should call Nissan Corporate to be sure..... . ...........

I cant believe there are no tow hooks and turbo issues as well as no aux cooler on previous gens. Anyone know the biggest tire i can fit and best lift kit to put on?

The problem is going to be that, in the future, they won't be using the right oil since I am pretty sure conventional cannot meet API SP or GF-6A. As mentioned, it pretty much has to be a syn-blend or "full" synthetic.

Now, who is ready to put this lightweight conventional (10w30) into their brand new TTV6 and run it for 3000 miles? I can supply the oil and pay for the oil analysis.

Pretty sure all gtx is synthetic blend now. Blew my mind a while back when I saw that cause it's what I always use.

    lol

I've had many cars over 200,000 miles using conventional oil and running fine but synthetic is almost same price these days. If I use conventional, I change the oil sooner but with price diff these days, I think conventional is on its way out in US. Syn-blend is replacing conventional as well.

btw, what's up with 2022 Turbo engine heat?
You can have a family BBQ inside that engine and save on charcoal or gas bbq.

Due to Turbo engines running HOT, I stay away from conventional.

    GTX Ultraclean is semi-synthetic.
    10w30, 10w40 and 20w50 are still conventional.

You are correct. It's what my home Depot carries, thought it was standard gtx.

I've since switched to edge full syn as it's only couple bucks more.

I agree somewhat, but......that pie chart says different. I'm not seeing 70% + world use of conventional changing anytime soon. Drill drill drill!

In US, not much reason to buy conventional anymore due to price differences. $1-3 more for 5 qt and you get a very good brand syn oil. Sometimes even same price!
Also with synthetic you can extend your oil change and in the long run, you will save money by using synthetic and your engine would be in better shape.

World wide is a different story and may take another 10 years ...
