More people get the driver side one. They discounted the passenger side to entice people to get the other side.

source- my buddy who works for a truck accessory shop.

I have one on the passenger side and it works great. I use it for all of my extraction gear. Not sure why there would be a price difference between sides? they are both the same. they are good quality and hold up well.

I would pick the passenger side first. Every time. If you ever are parked on the street and need to get into it or stopping to help someone broke down on the side of the highway, it’s better to be on the passenger side of the truck away from traffic.

Plus all the heavy stuff that is on one side of the truck is on the driver’s side (driver, battery, fuel tank, steering column…)
