Good thing Toyota pushed this feature down to at least the SR5... in options packages anyway... because that's all I could find with a long bed in Lunar Rock when I bought my Tundra. And that means the wiring is there to support these retrofits. Way back in the day I used to scoff at cars that started coming with power locks. I mean, how hard could be to lock and unlock your damn car? But now I can't live with one that doesn't also have a heated steering wheel. LOL. I LOVE that thing.

Hey All, sorry to revive this, first time commenter.
I have a 2024 Limited Off Road with a leather NON HEATED steering wheel. I know the wiring harness is behind the false switches.

I am curious if my steering wheel actually had the heating element inside of it?

the dealer upgrade is so cheap that it seems all they’d be doing is adding the switch.

has anyone tried just adding the switch to a limited non heated leather wheel? Thanks all.

Option 1: You can remove the air bag and see if the element is there. If it is, you need the switch only
Option 2: buy the switch and see if it works (which means the element is there) and if it doesn’t, you’re 50% done with parts needed for the project and just need the steering wheel anyways.

I’m fortunate that budget is not a limitation I face. But thanks?

Thank you. I guess I’m holding out to see if someone has tried option 2 yet!

Did anybody ever come back with a successful install? Only limited trucks around me were fully loaded with junk I didn’t want (Dealer adds) bringing MSRP over 72k

You tack on the TRD package with the lift, you’re already at 68. Give it the premium package, predator steps, and all the factory adds and you’re over 69. Add in window tint and all the other bullshit gulf states pulls, you’ll be there in no time!

I got 9k off a MSRP of 65 on a limited with the TRD OR package (no lift). Very happy with it so far other than some nit picky stuff.

It's relatively easy to pop the airbag off in case you don't get your answer from someone else.

Hey Fred. I have the same truck, and I am sorry to report the original 24’ limited leather steering wheel did not have the heating element (I added the switch).

I then ordered the leather wheel with the heating element and everything worked as advertised. The install was very easy, just watch the video that was posted earlier in that thread. Additionally, Toyota OEM parts are on sale right now until 12/2 (25% off). Good luck!

Does anyone know the part number for the heated steering wheel for the limited? In the same situation as someone else posted but I haven't bought yet. Looking at a limited off-road but it doesn't have the heated wheel. Trying to find the replacement to see what total cost is going to be.
