Suspension Torques - 2nd and 2.5 Gen ***

    Tie rod end: 51 ft lbs
    Top coilover bolts: 33 ft lbs
    Bottom coilover bolt: 144 ft lbs
    Upper control arm ball joint: 81 ft lbs
    Steering knuckle: 81 ft lbs
    Sway bar bolt: 89 ft lbs
    Top stabilizer bolt: 111 ft lbs
    Lower control arm ball joint attachment(2 bolts): 221 ft lbs
    Lower ball joint: 123 ft lbs
    Control sensor wire A: 10 ft lbs on UCA
    Control sensor wire B: 21 ft lbs on spindle
    Sway bar brackets bracket (4 bolts): 51 ft lbs
    UCA through bolt for Total Chaos UCA: 173 ft lbs
    Total Chaos Uniball: 100 ft lbs


    Rear leaf spring: 77 ft lbs
    Rear Ubolt: 74 ft lbs
    Rear shock upper: 21 ft lbs
    Rear shock lower: 66 ft lbs


    Aluminum wheel: 97 ft lbs
    Steel wheel: 154 ft lbs

    Camburg UCA, Icon Stage 2, Method NV, BFG Mud Terrain km3, Nitro 5.29, MBRP Exhaust, S&B Cold air Intake, RCI Engine & Trans Skid, OEM Audio Plus,
    Ill be installing icon stage 2 with camburg upper control arms with a diff drop and sway bar spacer here this next week and i was just Curious on where the specs were obtained? I just want to make sure that everything is torque down to proper specs. thanks for your help!! Curiously what exactly is the Top stabilizer bolt?

    At some point when I have time I was going to go back through these and add references since I do get a lot of people questioning if theses are correct. I did my best to use Toyota manuals, Chilton manual or manufacturer recommended torques. I would not put up numbers I wasn’t confident about using myself. I added these up here because I have actually used all of these torques.

    As I recall the 207 is spec. Recently had some required out of town repair work done at Baja Rex Motorsports and Joseph was well aware of the spec but said being that tight tends to strip the threads. He and I were talking about off road, driven hard trucks, not DDs. Upon inspecting mine, sure enough, the threads appeared somewhat galled, as if divine intervention stepped in to prove his point. So, I think he only went to about 150.
    At 207 my alignment stayed true for a couple of years like @Hbjeff suggested.

    150 is still pretty dang tight, i would be curious to try it then recheck a couple time to ensure no movement. I weigh 200 lbs, and a huge torque wrench still makes it tough to go all the way to 207
