Surrender my trade-in now to lock in incentives and wait for the 2025?

If your current vehicle is depreciating a lot in value by the day and you have another vehcile that will get you by, I can see this as an option. (According KBB, my 2023 Tundra Limited ORP already lost $5K of it's value since I traded it in 2 months ago for a sprinter. I'm sure the sprinter has depreciated as well but I did get it for a lot less than msrp, and I'm not planning on trading it in...yet).

Otherwise, I would find it difficult to get a 2025 without a large discount given all the reported issues.

 

It is a Lexus so it is not depreciating a lot as some others. It is 2023 and only has 9200 km on it. I have been trying to sell it privately in the past 2 months but nothing serious so far. This particular dealer is offering $10k more than what others have offered me. Whether or not I can sell it privately sooner than later, I don’t know. Lexus is offering low interest on lease right now so many people might prefer to lease at low interest versus buying my car and take out a loan at higher interest. This is what I am up against. Soon 2025 will come out which will impact the resale value of my car. That’s another reason I am thinking to trade in my car now to get the highest value and the wait for the 2025 Tundra.

 

If it was an LX600, I would trade it in. But not for a 2025 Tundra.
