I just don't understand how the halogens are brighter than the leds. Halogens are so dull. Maybe a little over exaggeration?

No I’m not over exaggerating lol
Even my wife that could care less about anything automotive related said they were darker than the halogens

Gonna leave them in a couple days and see if for whatever reason something changes.
After reading the description on HR. They do have a dimmed mode for when they overheat. But there should have been no reason for the bulbs to be in that mode.

I would reach out to them. Its strange that they are both not very bright. Maybe shipped with wrong controller?

I don't think there should be any sort of mode for that at all since they have cooling fans. Even the LED bulbs I run are fanless and work very well. Even after running them I touch the find and they don't feel extremely hot.

    **Update**
Fondled around with the wiring and inspected things. Got everything put back together and went for a drive. 100x better light output.

This is about 50 feet away

I'm 3 clicks down from the highest aim point.
Still playing around with this particular variable.
Still overall, very pleased with the Supers.

If I’m in town I just go to the lowest setting. I know how it feels to be in a car and have a truck behind you blinding the shit out of you through your mirrors.

Hell Yeah!! That looks great! Did you install the lights a 1 click and adjust from there?

Yeah, I didn’t make any manual adjustments to the headlights. I just use my leveler for on the fly adjusting in case I feel like I’m bothering someone. But if your halogens are where you want them, the LEDs will be the same.

Awesome thanks for the info. The new lights look great. You find the brightness blows away OEM bulb? Because it sure looks like it.

Yeah Definitely better than the halogens now.
I’m not sure what was going on before I had messed with everything. But they’re much better now

The ballast is connected to the rest of the bulb wiring harness by a plug and screw together connection. I didn't catch it at first until the screw connector slid down the wire loom. Unplugged to inspect, then reconnected both screwing the nut connection together as designed so they couldn't vibrate lose.

Glad you got it worked out. Mine is definitely WAY better than before.

bdpeelgern when driving at night are you getting folk flashing you with these new bulbs? Apparently there is some light scatter with these bulbs.

I haven’t gotten flashed yet. I don’t think the scatter is bright enough to bother anyone. As long as you have your cutoff adjusted to an acceptable level you should be good

No I have a 3/1 leveling it and haven’t messed with the manual adjustments. So I keep my leveler setting at 3 or 4.

I have not gotten flashed by oncoming traffic at all so far in almost 2 weeks.
There are so many other vehicles on the road now with LEDs and HIDs I don't believe I stick out any more than the rest of them.
I also keep my adjustable heads 3 clicks down from the highest setting, so that may help too.

Will do. I have these for now though. This alley way is completely black with no headlights.

Does anybody live in a state that do state inspections and have any issues passing with these installed?

I’m in Texas, and have never heard of anyone having problems passing inspection due to headlights.
