    Ok so here it is.

We intended on driving up to san francisco except halfway through the guys were like Fk it let's go to pismo instead. Thinking that it opened at 4am -_- boy was I wrong on the mark. Waited until 6 finally got on the beach. Made it to the campsites, aired down the dirty 7's to 8lbs all four corners tossed on the whip and starting ruling out to Pole 1 entrance into the dunes around 6:30. Threw it in 4wd and took off through the entrance and made it to the end of the entrance into the dunes before our buddy got stuck. So, I figured i'd do a U-turn. Did the U turn and boom both CV's gave out. Sooooooo now all 3 of us are stuck lmao. Who woulda thought a heavy ass tundra would sink so quick even aired down to 8lbs. Anyways, finally made it to the camp site. Didn't have the security lug key on me, so we spent about 6 hours searching for another tundra and every single freaking one we came across had aftermarket wheels go figure. Finally I called up Dunewhore who saved my ass and sent me up to Allco. This is where the fun really begins! Found carlos the guy who bought the IG famous Dodge 2500 in the pictures above. It's the Carli dodge all over the web. He just so happens to own the tire shop up there. Next we battled with the stupid lugs. That took a few hours. Finally we got the wheels off thinking it was smooth sailing from here on. NOT. About 4 hours go by and we finally find someone who's the room mate of the snap on guy. We needed a 39mm 12point socket. In the mean time I through on the gloves and started helping put that H1 pictured above together. Time passed, finally the axles are yanked out. Both CV's toast. Not 100% sure the problem yet but we're guessing the plunge was off a little bit. That's why we're doing R&D though, so when the kit gets released you guys don't run across these issues. Next up, trying to figure out how in the hell to take off the spline so we can drive home safely. If you are unaware, on the tundras specifically. You need to remove the spline off the CV's which means plasma cutting the cage off and placing the splined portion back into the hubs to hold them together. If not, you'll be the guy who's wheel flies off on the road. Yes, it's happened before. Thankfully the small world of LT tundras guys keep in touch lol. Finally everything get's done. It's 9:30 in the afternoon and we start heading home. But not without the good news......Ripping the exhaust off and committing to linking the rear end :bananadance:

Holy shit... so you drove about 500' into the beach, and literally fucked yourself... That sucks man! How big of a pain in the ass is replacing the CV's going to be? Are you just going to use stock parts?

Are you running the stock housing or are you going to run like a 9 inch?

Won't be a pain in the ass, Mazzulla is handling it. This is all part of the R&D I'm doing with their kit. That's why mazzulla charges the big bucks :)

The 9 inch is far more accessible than the 10.5 in our trucks, plus a lot of options as far as lockers/spools

We're bouncing ideas around. Could be going with a currey clearance 10 inch rear end....Could be going with a mazzulla rear end....could be sticking with stock 10.5 and just dumping a locker in it after beefing up the housing. There's a LOT on the to do list lol. One thing at a time. I'll certainly be updating the build as it progresses and what we used etc.

We are doing a full boxed cage with a real link setup in the rear. Chopping the rear half of the truck off and committing to it. :)

This is going to be such a badass daily driver! :bananadance: oh, almost forgot. We're building a custom tray in so I can still take the R1 to the track for track days also.
