Sunroof Not Moving

Hey, I have a 2nd Gen Tundra with a sunroof that won’t go back. Anytime I press the tilt or open/close buttons, all I hear is the motor start working and then a clicking noise.

any recommendations would be appreciated before I bring it to the dealership?

 

Might wanna find a place that specializes in sunroofs, dealership is going to quote a new sliding assembly.

 

Cables rust, it’s a known issue. If your truck is under it’s 3/36 or extended warranty it’s worth a dealership visit. Labor at a sunroof specifically shop is way less than the dealership hourly rate.

 

Has anyone had problem with their sunroof adjusting while in the open position. Every now and then, my sunroof attempt to move slightly, in the open position, farther to the rear. It open and close perfectly every time.
