Looking out back of our place in the southern OBX. The ICW is the water if you can see it.20240801_200142.jpg

As a longtime duck hunter, I prefer the sunrise.

Sunrise, most of the time. But it depends on where I'm out in the woods backpacking.

IMG_7262.jpg Sunrise while hunting. Not a colorful one. But the fog laying in the valley adds something.

I like both but usually see more sunsets since I'm a night owl. Here's one of my favorite sunrise pics.

Taken back in Dec 2021 around 7 am on US I-80 overlooking Donner Lake, in-between Truckee and Donner Pass.

There is no difference other than the point of reference! I.e. sunrises started dark and got lighter (less colorful) and sunsets started light and got darker (more colorful) so people claim sunsets are more vibrant but if they watched a sunrise and sunset in reverse they’d say the opposite purely because of their staring and ending point :)
