Well, after all of this informative reading, I have to say that I want to pick up a sway bar as well. I ran into a fellow Tundra owner and he had the TRD rear sway bar, and he loved it. I am wondering I have a 4" fabtech lift. The rear has a 1" lift, will I have to get any type of extensions for the rear sway bar? also, does Toyota make a sway bar for the front of our truck? what is the difference between the hellwig and the stock TRD. I would think the stock TRD sway bar should be more of a straight bolt on.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Both of 'em are bolt-on. I bought the Hellwig for my 2010. My research convinced me it was a better buy "for me". Besides the fact it's adjustable for Lifts and made from thicker stock, it isn't RED. The Hellwig looks like everything else that's under the truck, dark grey and beefy.

I have the Hellwig #7889, paid $214 from Summit delivered. This is the one for 2"+ lift(worked fine with 1 1/2" on mine with room to spare), and the only difference is you get longer end links you can adjust for different heights. End links are a pain, but imo worth it to have the bar set correctly. It is very nice, can be adjusted to be firmer, and is not red.

There are 2, one for lifted, and not. The lifted one is cheaper. Yes on Summit Racing.

Summit Racing has some great stuff. I can't speak to lifts, but right off the bat on this thread people were speaking highly of the Hellwig bars. No matter which way you go you'll be grad you did it.

Picked up and installed my TRD sway bar today. Though I only drove around the country "block" once after install I could notice a difference. The truck felt more solid and together as one. Still have the body roll but not as bad. Has it worked wonders? Not sure - I have only put 5k miles on my (new to me) 2013 and only 4 miles w/ the bar on.

I think it will help with daily driving and towing my TT. Is it a must do mod? I don't think so. Is it an easy to do improvement if you want something to do fairly cheap? Absolutely!

If all mods were this easy and had noticeable results I would be broke...

It must be me or maybe I installed it incorrectly but I don't feel like the sway bar has made as big of a difference for me as it has for everyone else . Any thoughts ? I mean I do mainly city driving so I should notice more of a difference w the bar right ?

Have you done any turns at a reasonable speed? I noticed mine immediately after taking a sweeping right turn.

Looking at the End link locations on the bar......I think the sway bar should be located on the (Inside) of the links. Not sure if it makes a heal of beans tho.

Yup, agree, but not sure what the impact would be. I noticed it the most when taking exit ramps or high flyovers on the highway. Here's what mine looks like installed...

My wife gave me crap about wanting one. No comments about it feeling more stable. But then I took it off and she sure noticed the difference then. I upgraded the front to the stiffer sequoia sway bar and put the rear one back on. Very little body roll now! The truck handles great and I think my tires will last longer to.

Does anyone know if the trd end links need to be extended to accommodate a 1"- 3" lift?

Nope I did that in purpose so it does not hang so low. Several members on here have done it including @jberry813
