Add that if you purchase in the middle of your credit card cycle it might be passed over if she sees the statement.

I put the hellwig on mine with a 4 inch lift and it made a huge improvement to stability. Amazon: no ship no tax!!

I let the guy at the muffler shop do it while I was getting my tips tucked! It was about 50 bucks labor. the truck is much more stable now too.

I'm gonna have to look into getting one of these especially if it helps with towing.

Would you guys recommend a sway bar for me?

I don't "off road" but I am off road a lot. I'm constantly in the national forest, mountains, back dirt roads that can get rough, farming fields and I tow. After reading up on it I'm on the fence of whether it would be better to skip it?

    Too many to list.....
I was going to do Hellwig but ended up with the TRD. Hellwig is beefier and adjustable but for the extra $$$ i opted against it. Installed the TRD last week and love it. Plus the red is pretty cool. Picked one up on Ebay for $236 shipped.

Right?! Remember as @RowdyRon said earlier to retourque the bolts at around 100 miles. I found mostly on the axle was where they needed it the most.

Do you do any towing? Curious as to whether or not this helps when towing. I keep reading where people state that it will help but have never heard any actual experiences.

I tow my race car trailer with my truck. I will say the sway bar is great. Less body roll, more consistent turns. It's all around awesome for towing and not towing.

Isn't the trailer hitch receiver connected directly to the frame? As much as I want to believe the sway bar does in fact help towing I'm struggling to make the correlation between body roll and the trailer.

I guess thinking about it further any rotational forces the trailer may put on the hitch receiver will be directed straight to the truck frame and the sway bar will help distribute that force across the entire rear end - making it more stable.

Damn, I thought I finally found a reason that I shouldn't buy this damn thing.................

Sad thing for me is I have the wife onboard with the "it's safer for towing the camper" approach - I'm the one that doesn't want to spend the $$ (I'm cheap).

You'll be amazed, truly. For the cost of the majority of the upgrades available, this one is well worth a couple hundred bucks and an hour to install it. From every day driving to trailering, it is the best (in my opinion) upgrade that I've done. These things should come with them.
