We are still waiting on the shocks to be finalized - did some testing and had to move some of the tubes. They started out as a Raptor shock - LOL

Yea I might do the camburg kit since I have foxes. Def a lot of angle, but it’s better than stock length numbers and I can run a 3.0 bypass. It is what it is. If I go full LT I’ll probably feel invincible and just break my truck faster anyways.

What does Fox have to do with what kit? Do they have one spec'd for the Camburg kit? I know Zac runs a King. You can run TC front with Fox and Camburg rear with King - haha Thought TC made one as well. I tried to by their mounts years ago but they wouldn't sell them to me and only as a whole kit.

    Warren,
I would just get those and reinforce them like Bruce did on his build page. Get TC shackles, Bruce and I both used TC lower shock mounts they are already reinforced, You will have to open up the half circle on them to fit your axle or you can just get regular ones from Kartek and gusset them yourself, Tim@DMZ makes nice lower shock mounts as well, I think I have a set I didn't use if you want them let me know I will send them to you. I ordered a custom set of 196's instead of the standard HD's. I had a conversation with Jeff at Deavers told him the weight I would be carrying everyday then the weight I would be carrying when I am offloading and he figured it out from there. Definitely have that conversation with Jeff to make sure the 196HD is good for your situation or if a custom set to fit your needs would be better. Are you going to build your own cage ?

Ask Craig how long he's been waiting for this kit.

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
Thanks a lot Greg. I had "the talk" with Deaver yesterday and the leafs are ordered.
I remember seeing that cage you have and it's a work of art. I don't have the skill to make my own so I'll need to talk to a fabricator.

I don't know about that, I'm sure you could do it. I could check around and see if I still have my sketch I drew up, although it's not like a cad drawing or anything and was probably done on a food napkin like a lot of my ideas lol.

I just know that is part of it with a new shock design and new setup. Didn't want bumps or shocks thru the bed but wanted 3.0 and more travel than SOA. MCM has been great - I have been on a loaner set of parts so I could make Sedona last year and use my truck while still working the kinks out. Also offered a loaner vehicle while my truck is in his shop. Who else does that?? Always open to new ideas and sometimes those ideas take time. I talked to ADS at the first Sedona meet about rear bumps and it took them a couple of T2S (T2S3) to get them to the Tundra market.

Yeah Matt’s been good to me and my ADS are solid so far. Fab guys are just not good with time lines. Always over promise and under deliver.

Dirt King is the place to go for the set up and a 3” wide leaf isn’t necessary with the proper size Triple Bypass, Heavy truck bigger ByPass, Get the 3.5 or even 4.0 Bypass for ride adjustable setting you get get the bypass from Fox with adjustable dials, so guys who tow can stiffen the bypass for the haul and reset to go play. Shock tuning is key, I96HD Wth Coachbuilder 8” shackles and a 3.5 Fox triple and I can roll extra weight no problem. The SUA is a long travel application with a bed cage bed under bypass gets maybe 12” of wheel travel, definitely not 16” like a bedcage setup. Dirt King has the best bolt on bedcage on the market. A lot more fabrication required to go bed cage and spring under, but well worth pay more for a larger bypass than getting 3” wide leafs. Got extra cooling RESIVOIR from Fox as well. Regulating heat is critical when towing with these setups… My 2 cents worth, a bit late to the conversation but certainly relevant for anyone looking to go long travel and still be able to tow…
