They are pretty efficient. They keep my battery topped off when we aren't out camping and usually have the battery topped off again in a couple hours in the sun after we run accessories all night. The fan, fridge and heater all pull power off of the battery that the panels are hooked to. I have a 95 liter dualzone fridge that isn't super efficient so it's nice to have solar going. I can't remember how much power they actually pull in, it's been a while since I've messed with any of that.

    :censored:

Yeah that is definitely a con and can be troublesome especially at the grocery store when that one person parks right next to you even though you park far away from everyone. :censored:

I just like the idea of a full swing out to use when camping long term.

Sorry to derail/hi jack your thread…now we return to your regular scheduled program.

@STravis how are you liking the snorkel? What are your thoughts on it? That is the one mod I am 50/50 one and can’t decide.

When I first saw the snorkel in pictures I didn't like it. We drive a ton of dirt though and it's nice to move that intake up out of the dust. Now that it's on the truck I love it, I think it looks great.

How do like that snorkel brand? Have just started to look for my 19. Do you have to have the original air intake for this to connect to? I have the TRD pro intake so may have to go back to the original.

I like it. It fit great and install was easy. The truck had an S&B cold air intake when I bought it so I had to swap it out for a factory air intake. I'm not sure if it would connect to the TRD intake or not.

This one is a Dobinsons so I can't speak for the ARB fit. The Dobinsons fits greats though.

I really need to update a few things in this thread, but for now I have a few things for sale if anybody is interested.

I will be selling my high clearance rear bumper with dual swingouts and a receiver mounted to the passenger swingout for a bike rack and I'll be selling my SCS wheels.
$2,400 for the bumper and $1,300 for the wheels.

I'm keeping that quiet for now. I'm waiting to see how I like them first. But they will be 17's instead of 18's. If SCS made the Ray 10's in a 17 I'd never change them.

I had a customer order a high clearance rear bumper with a few options I wanted to add to mine anyways, but he disappeared without paying for it. So instead of pulling mine off and modifying it I'm just powdercoating the other one and then selling it.

It has been a busy week. We built a new prototype bumper at my shop (SOB Fabrication), installed new wheels and tires and got an alignment that I desperately needed.

New wheels are black rhino rapids in 17x8.5 and the tires are kanati mud hogs in 37x12.50r17.

Got the bumpers pulled off and the cutting finalized for the new front bumper. I'm super excited about getting the new bumper back from powdercoat, hoping for a Friday install for the new front and rear. The cut looks cool by itself, I'll call it the "super viper" cut for now. I had some help in the shop today too.

Yeah the cut looks cool, but the bumper will look even better when it's all together.

The tires have been good with the very limited driving I have done with them. We put a couple hundred highway miles on them and they did fine. You can hear them but they aren't crazy loud. I'm hoping to get out this weekend into some dirt and see how they do.

Gave the truck a quick wash this afternoon on my way home so the install on the bumpers would be easier tomorrow. I can't remember the last time I washed the truck. The new wheels look perfect on the clean gray.

Thanks. I'm so glad I went with the blue. Hopefully the tires get a workout this weekend. Now if I could get the tire shop to fix the tpms stuff they messed up I'd be in good shape.

Can’t wait to hear your feedback on the tires. At $250 for a 35x12.50r17 you can’t beat that.

I was really surprised by the price as well. My buddy @n0rth has been looking into them for a while and brought them to my attention and I'm glad I tried them out.

Got the front and back bumpers installed today for the final time...for now. The new guy we are using for powder coat absolutely went above and beyond and got them done in under 24 hours with a pretty small oven.

I trimmed a little more of my pinch weld yesterday and flexed the truck out to check clearance. I kind of regret not going with 39's.

We also popped the camper open and drained the water lines and tank in preparation for winter. I'm still searching for a solution to keep the lithium battery warm during winter.
