And here is where we quit today. Swingouts and finish welding happening tomorrow, and hopefully some paint.

Thanks man. The little dude is awesome to have around. It took us too long to get him out camping but we got the all clear from the doctors so now we will be getting out a lot more.

Yeah, that bumper looks great! I am going to have to start saving my pennies for both the front and rear. Do you have any plans to build and sell sliders? Keep me posted on prices please.

Do this. Very interested to see the swings. I like the wrap around to the back tires much more than others in the market. What about the trailer hitch?

omg just found this build thread. first off congrats on the little guy. second that rear bumper is sexy as hell. can't wait to see the swing outs on it, hope it allows for a hitch to be used as well.

I'll answer more questions when I get a chance this evening. It will have a hitch, dual swings with a modular driver's side plate and a flip up license plate. I'll post more pictures this evening also.

I love it. It's got a nice tone without being too loud. It is very quiet at cruising speeds.

Here is the stopping point for today. Lots of small pieces slowed us down today, but we have them dialed in. The swingout arms will be finished tomorrow when our steel order gets delivered.

The hitch is solid. We don't have any way to certify it or rate it, but it should hold up to anything you would tow with a tundra.

That is the best looking Tundra rear bumper I have ever seen and you are not even done yet. Awesome work!

Paint is drying tonight and we will be installing the bumper tomorrow. It turned out great.

    This is a dumb question.

Picking up my atlas next week.

I am laying down a thick wooden base board in the bed as the foundation for a DIY drawer and dog crate stack up. How are you attaching the new "floor" to the bed? Do those screws through the spray on bedliner offer screw in points?

My base I held down by two bolts in the rear that I drilled through be bed, and the front is held down by the front cabinets via the bed rails.

A couple updates on the truck. The rear bumper is installed and we have put quite a few miles on. We ended up having to go to Prescott to get a repair done on the camper. We had a full truck with the baby and the in laws. We also made a quick trip up to the south rim of the Grand Canyon and had a chilly night of camping. The diesel heater turned out great. We had a low of around 35 that night and when we turned the heater on it warmed the camper up to about 80* in no time at all.

Dude, this is a sick bumper! It's funny, I was just in New Mexico camping and met Lee with your bumper on his Tacoma. He was talking highly of you and your fab skills! Didn't realize it was you until I saw the SOB on your bumper. Clean fab work! Makes me want to change out my C4 for yours if you offer them for sale.

Oh nice! Small world man. Lee's truck turned out pretty sweet. I do plan on selling these and should be to that point in a couple weeks. I appreciate the compliment man. Where are you at in Texas?

Deep East Texas. I left Jemez Pueblo last saturday, took 15 hours of straight drive time to get home! LOL

Ill be keeping my eyes on the bumpers, may have to line up a buyer for mine and swap over!

When I was AT I had them install some awning brackets on the camper. We added an OVS shower cube to the driver's side and will be adding an OVS 270 awning to the passenger side when it finally gets delivered.

I also added a box to the driver's side swingout this week. It's pretty big and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it will be nice to keep a few things out of the camper. The aluminum was pretty flimsy so I had to brace it up with some steel brackets that beef up the box and also double as the propane mounting bracket.

I also got started on some sliders. They will be a weld on, bolt on hybrid style. Just trying to get the design figured out.

Life has gotten a bit out of control lately, but we have made some more changes to the truck. The rear bumper is complete. We added a box to the swingout that we use for some camp gear and water heater storage. We also made some changes to the front bumper and added a Warn VR Evo 12s winch. Sliders are also on and turned out pretty cool. And the ovs 270 awning showed up finally and it has been a nice addition.

@STravis Is the smaller bag on the driver side just a privacy shelter?
