I had a chance to get the deck and headache rack done.
I plan on angled boxes behind the tires and a box on the driver's side beside the tire.

Looks great! Are you gonna build cabinets under the flatbed or leave it as-is?

I'm going to do angled storage boxes behind the tires and just fill plates in front of the tires. And up top in the front will be a full height toolbox.
The goal is to make the ground clearance and departure angle the same or better than before with the HC bumper.

I got the box on top started this afternoon. Still waiting on hinges and latches to show up and it should be easy from there.

Kind of, I'm trying to make a good combo of utility for my shop plus easy storage that won't have to be removed when the camper is off. The goal is to have something that is easy to swap from camping mode to work mode. The Ute trays are a good inspiration and the Bowen beds are another good example of that. The Bowen beds are set up more for one use rather than being able to switch it up like I'm planning.

I hope so. I think I've got my camper choice figured out finally also. Now I just need somebody to buy my Atlas so I can put a deposit down on the new one.

I am pretty sure I'm going with a custom flatbed ovrlnd camper. It will save me having to build the lower tray.

I got some more done on the bed today. Door is done for the top box, and the tailboard is mostly done. The lights are temporarily wired and I cut it to stuff a rear winch in at some point. I don't like the plate off center, but it's a good sacrifice to have the winch.

    Looks great

You ever considered a motorized weboost/ham antenna mount instead of the rhino version? Starting to wonder if I’m missing something since nobody else is doing it :notsure:

I haven't ever considered it, I didn't even realize it was an option really. This one works great, but I've never even lowered it with the mount.

I've definitely tested the spring before l, and should have folded it down, but I've been pretty lucky so far and haven't busted it up.

A little more progress today. I flexed it out and I think I'm going to take about 2" out above the tire and build a fender into it so I can get the last little bit of travel out of it before the bump stop bottoms out. I also got started on the rear under bed boxes.

What bump stops do you have in the rear? Looks like a massive spacer from the last pic.

They're wheelers superbumps. When I got this new leaf pack I built the bump mount to have them flatten out right after the springs went flat to avoid them going into a negative arch. They are just a bit longer than the mounts that Wheeler sent with them. I also changed my lower shock mount to have the shock almost bottomed out at the same point to maximize the amount of travel I have without killing the springs prematurely.

Flatbed looks amazing. Seriously nice work. I love the way you mounted it to the frame rails.
