Understatement for sure sir. Plus I appreciate the follow up. Was a tough day watching my build get dragged off by tow truck, but also great day picking up my new truck. Its completely stock so I am excited to build again, but my wallet isnt.... LOL... anyway, found this site searching for answers and somehow found your build.... got lost in the reading and said f it, this is a good thing...

Love what you are doing with yours and for the community as a whole.

That's a bummer man. What was the old truck?
It got replaced by a Tundra I'm assuming?

Ram Longhorn. It was a bummer for a lot of reasons, but I am 6 hours into loving this Tundra.

The tundra is a great platform. And it's always fun to carry what you learned from the previous vehicle to a new build.

Yes sir it is! The things i would have done different will be tested here. The things I didnt get it, will be done here... provided I dont meet anymore F350s LOL.

First thing I noticed today was the amount of things available for these trucks. This thread along had me opening roughly 13 tabs lol. I love the space you created in yours as well... plus 100 other things.

We'll see. I was tossing around the idea of two doors but I think I'm just going to do 1 big door. I just ordered a big dometic window with a shade and bug screen. Hopefully this project doesn't drag on.

Thanks man! I got it completely done this afternoon and painted. The window will show up Wednesday and we will install it Wednesday or Thursday hopefully. I'm stoked on the way it turned out.

I still need to put the trim around the door and door frame, figure out the gas strut mounting, rebuild the fridge slide and get the interior back together but the door is in.

Looks great. Does it attach to the bedsides and floor too?

It's attached at the top, the bed bolts and 3m taped all the way down to the top of the bedsides. We're going to add a few bolts through the AT camper also.

Got the bed build modified this afternoon. We relocated the water pump with a new bracket and built a platform to put a sleep area for our kiddo. The fridge can slide out and tilt without moving the platform. We can also raise the platform to get into the fridge without having to open the door.

The trim around the door will go on tomorrow and I still have some cleaning up to do and a little wiring and it will be done. I need to have a cushion made for the lower sleeping platform now.

Couple more pictures from the weekend. The camper door does a great job keeping the dust out. We'll have to wait until it rains in July to see if it's waterproof or not. The new bed build out and fridge position makes it much easier to access as well.
Next up is some more organization and getting the plumbing for the tank dialed in better than it currently is.

How are the tires holding up compared to the Nittos you had?

They seem to be wearing quickly, but evenly. Traction has been way better than the nittos. I'll have to look at when I put them on too see how many miles they already have.

    Progress.
Got the 30" bar in, lp9's in and wired, built the harness for the rear lights and got the hood cut up and ready for the 40" bar.

More on the hood bulge light.
The previous owner hacked up the hood bulge and wedged some garbage light bar in it that had terrible light output and caused the hood bulge to pop loose all the time. The two solutions were to get a new hood bulge (lame) or get the SDHQ hood bulge kit (cool) and a 40" bar and bolt the thing on so it doesn't rely on the plastic clips. Obviously I went for the cool option. The prep and getting to the point of bolting the light up was pretty easy, but I love cutting up trucks so I didn't mind it at all. Now I'm just waiting on a couple things before I bolt the light up in it.

Took some adjusting but we got the SDHQ light bar mount in and done. I had to slot my original holes to move the bar back about a 1/2". It's all done and finished now and the hood bulge fits good. I love the look and the output is incredible.

And now that have some of the Baja backlit lights I really want to swap my xl sports for lp4's just to have the little drl light.

Now on to the rear lighting later in the week. The bumper lights are already wired so they will be easy, but I'll have to add wiring for the upper dust/chase lights.
