I've run across this so many times with older cars. Used to restore muscle cars back in the day and denatured alcohol cleaned off all of the sticky residue and also dried out the leather, plastic, or whatever material happened to be used on the wheel I was dealing with to the point of it not happening again (at least as long as I owned the vehicle which ranged from a year or two). I swear by that stuff for cleaning adhesives and surface prep. Sure the label says causes cancer in lab rats in California but guess what?!?!? I'm no lab rat and I don't live in California so screw em. Been using it for years and still have all my fur.

Haven't heard of it but I've seen it on other work stuff I I guess that's one of material breaks down

Hey! It' called MIT off of eBay. Few other members are using it as well I think. Great quality and heavy. They have blk or the 1794 color. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hey did you ever have a resolve to this issue. My 2015 is doing the exact same thing. 12 o’clock. And I don’t usually hold it there. I use the sun shield and it’s garage kept. It’s pretty disappointing to have it do this. Thanks

I hope after 1.5 years it’s taken care of!
The pics looked like the plastic/finish never cured properly.

The stock wheels are crap. Swap it for one of these from CZD . Picked one up for 475 shipped. Props to @Migraine for the find.

I had the steering wheel replaced under warranty.
