I'm debating if I want to replace the head unit myself or take it to a shop. I've had enough of the head unit resetting. Any recommendations? Thanks

For me, taking it to a shop would be the way to go with a Platinum. There’s a lot of inter connectivity that is linked to the head unit & that’s a lot of connections that one or two could be overlooked. It’s a peace of mind thing & a big time saver. Like I always say “Sanity can sometimes be expensive”

Hopefully the shop is heated. I would like to do it sooner and if they break plastics they would need to replace. I'm not scared of the wiring or the work. I've already replaced all the speakers. It's more about pressing the easy button.

A reputable shop should replace anything broken. The easy button is always a consideration. That’s where my sanity falls in. I’m never afraid of the work, available time is my downfall now. Since I’ve done plenty of this type of stuff before, it’s not an achievement sticker I’m looking for…it’s more an available free time vs cost savings war lol
