My 2018 Tundra TRD Sport has a Steering Wheel Vibration it's noticeable at lower speeds but gets worse at highway speeds, I brought the truck in last fall the dealership balanced the tires sent me on my way next morning hit the highway and it was still there and I have been dealing with it ever since, brought truck in last week since I have the time to do it now and , tires are worn with front passenger side showing heavy wear and truck was pulling to the right, I had new Goodyear SRA tires installed yesterday they had to order them because the Stock Bridgestone were horrible, drove it out of the dealership with my new tires and front end alignment and she started shaking/vibrating around 50 and by 65-70 it was back with a vengeance, my truck just turned 32K and I'm going to get this resolved, the dealership I bring the truck for service isn't the dealer I bought it from their 2 hrs from me, anyone having similar issues and it's been in twice now for this issue and I'm making another appointment today and i'm calling the dealership I bought it from to see if they can help find the culprit before the warranty runs out.

Did they road force balance the tires? I had a similar issue on my General Grabbers. The wear issue makes me think it was an alignment issue. But I get my tires road force balanced. It cost a little more but havent had a single issue since then. I hope things get worked out for you

I had the new Goodyear SRA's with front end alignment done yesterday drove it home and it was there again vibrating at lower speeds and once I hit 60 back with a vengeance, $875.00 later the bridgestone were worn especially on the outer edge of the passenger side front, i'm sure it needed the front end alignment but it didn't solve the issue with the new tires so something else is the culprit, i'm at 32K now and before the warranty runs out I'll get to the cause and fix.

    Welcome from NY.

    Bad wheel balance?
    Bad wheel bearings?
    Bent rims?

Good luck figuring out the problem.

I had a similar problem... had the fronts road force balanced. The tech says he did notice a slight out of round to one of the rims. So Issue remained until I rotated front to back. No more vibration. Now to give the dealer a heads up that a wheel is out of round and see what they'll do about it.

Run out on the rotors will cause that too...without even touching the brakes. Also verify alignment. One tire can fight the other.

I have a 2019 TRD Sport with 8,500 miles and have noticed feathering on the front tires. I took it in at 4,500 miles and asked them to check the alignment and they said it was within Specs. They rotated the tires and I continue to see some feathering. Is this normal? My X-Runner never had an issue like that. I don't have a vibration issue. Liked you I purchased my truck from a different dealer, 6 hours away.

Outer tire wear on the front is normal due to our turning radius, but feathering should not be normal. The most common cause is alignment or incorrect toe adjustment.

Thanks, I'm considering taking it to a 3rd party for an alignment check.

I contacted Toyota I now have a case manager, I brought it back to the servicing dealer once more they had it for an hour other than adjusting tire pressure i'm not sure they did anything else, won't bring it back to them again. 3 xxx and your out, I have the time currently sleeping on it for the w weekend where i'll bring it next there's 3 more toyota dealerships within an hour of me.

I have heard rotors on these trucks sometimes cause shakes even without braking. Maybe worth checking that out to see if your rotors are warped at all.

I'm going to pick the next dealer this weekend after some careful thought and make the appt
Monday letting them know I have opened a complaint with Toyota and this will be the fifth and last time they'll get to fix the issue and they can have the truck for a week if needed then I move forward with legal action and ask for a refund or new truck the ball is in their court, being on top of them and not letting the dealer or Toyota play you is the only way to get satisfaction.

I have the same issue with my 2019 purchased last August. Bridgestone Duelers now with just over 5k. It's been in 3 times. They just rotated front to back and still the same vibration at ~65 mph.

I have noticed it is severely diminished with higher PSI. New, it had about 30 front and 33 rear which is what the door sticker shows. I'm running 36 and 38 and it's pretty much gone at those pressures. Max PSI for these looks like 44 on the sidewall.
