Hi everyone. I think this is my first post here, so please be gentle.

I installed a set of 17" Method 701s on my 2016 Tundra and the top knuckle of the steering rack is rubbing the interior rims of my new wheels. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Sounds like it’s wheel spacer time. Do you know the specs on the em like offset and backspace?

Appreciate the input. So just throw the 'knuckle' on the bottom? Is that a pretty simple operation?

looks like he might be on a drop bracket lift based on the coilovers and huge bump stop spacer, so flipping it might cause him issues??

wheels spacers might be the way to go

I'm not 100% confident, but i think its a 6" Rough Country lift. I bought it used. Something I'm hoping to get fixed at some point. Is that a drop bracket lift?

Yep that'd be a drop bracket lift for the 6" RC lift

Let me check install instructions BUT I think they state to flip it during initial install. Probably wrong.

I think they also state an 18" wheel being the smallest they recommend with that knuckle.

So, 18 is what they tell you to run.

@Coachbuilder1 can the tire rods end be flipped issue free? I want to say a few members have done this due to clearance issues without problems. I also want to say there is a DB kit out there that tells you to flip em. It would be dependent on how the spindles are mfg due to the taper.

Past this, sorry not much more help.

Sure, a hub centric wheel spacer would fix the issue as well.

Newb question: there isn't that much scrape. Any chance i could get away with just grinding off some of the edge on the tie rod?

Just an update... I ended up going w Spidertrax spacers. Super easy installation. Not my favorite solution, but it appears to be working.

Looks like switching them from right to left and left to right could be a fix but hopefully someone else can chime in on that

Other option could be a coachbuilder steering kit, wheel spacers or wheels with a better offset

Those are the factory wheels I didn't have the rubbing problem till after I lifted it the only thing that lift kit didn't come with what the upper control arms but I don't know if that would even make a difference
