Complete my first Tundra Limited mod. Went back and forth between staying with Chrome vs black badging. Decided since this truck payment also required giving the dealer my first born (just kidding) I stayed with chrome. I know there are a ton of chrome haters out there and yes the black accents do make the truck pop, I’m looking for any additional suggestions from those who stuck with the chrome. I have been looking at the silver tundra thread, But no luck so felt it was time to come right out and ask. Any thoughts?DADECD9B-E620-4395-B93E-20166BC0CDFB.jpg

I am one of the few the swapped the black handles and mirror caps out and replaced with chrome take offs- all via the wonderful marketplace here. The finish looked better on my black truck and honestly, the chrome is easier to keep looking great.

I like the black out, color match and chrome looks......do what makes you happy. Done well they all look great.

I like it! Replaced a lot of my chrome and sometimes regret it. I still have it all and may well go back.

To me it depends on the color of the truck. I think white looks better with black accents than chrome, but on most other colors, chrome is not bad as long as there’s not too much of it. Show us some more pics of your truck!

I personally do not like the chrome, I removed all the chrome from my platinum tundra. I just like the looks of the black out emblems more than the chrome personally.

came with the running boards and coated bed liner. Was looking at the TRD pro but the wife said, “where’s the leather seats?” Hey who am I to argue! Right? Saving up for the TRD dual exhaust and cold air intake. Told her it will get me better mileage. Sold!

Nice looking truck! You’ll love the TRD exhaust. Can’t say about the CAI as I don’t have one. Most folks will tell you the CAI is a waste of money, but it’s your money and your truck. Build it the way YOU want to.

To my eye, yours looks great the way it is - I say “embrace your chrome”. I actually added chrome door handles and OEM mirror caps, on a white RCSB nonetheless, and think that it looks worlds better.

I like some chrome...it is all personal preference. On my truck I replaced the chrome bulge and surround with color matched but then replaced the honeycomb grille with a Limited chrome one!

I agree, but chrome looks OK on a silver truck.
    Except for the grille.
I know it is more of a PITA on a 2020, but a TRD Pro grille would look sweet on @Rgross2112 tundra with the blacked out headlights..
The TRD Pro grille letters would look good with the silver as well.

Have been looking at this. I like the look of the grill with Toyota vs the badge but was thinking of keeping the chrome bulge vs changing it to a matching color. Options options. Why I like Toyota. Thanks everyone!

No longer paying high vehicle registration fees in California! Big mod!
When it came to adding the tailgate lettering, I debated going black or chrome. I chose chrome because I didn't want to change the OEM configuration by too much (that little 5.7 badge and the Tundra lettering on the doors). Just wanted to add those letters on the tailgate. So, I went with chrome. It looks ok. I played with previous 4Runners and the FJ Cruiser changes and I am pretty much done with the mods for the Tundra. I just drive it as is and love it that way. Sure I added the lettering in the tailgate and a tri fold tannaue (sp?) cover, and the tray in the console, but that's about it.

I'm in the process of removing all (or what little chrome) off my 2020 Platinum. Just did the mirror caps, now I just need to save some cash for the door handles since I have the smart/keyless entry handles. I bought the Platinum trim for the lack of chrome.

I'm an old guy and I come from a time where everybody chromed their vehicles. The old jokes were you'd pick up 10hp because of chrome valve covers. I still like having chrome. But unfortunately it's all over plastic and it starts to peel over time. The all black does look tough.

That's funny his loss. I have awesome memories using my dad's old pickup because he had a cap. Ya get privacy when you have your girl with ya. :D

First do what you like. Next, Silver and Chrome look good IMO so does black if that's your thing. Don't feel pressured to follow trends.

I love the way the chrome looks on my black 2020 CM. Especially with the chrome front end, TRD OR wheels, and the black honeycomb grill. IMO the chrome looks good on black, gray, and silver. Other colors I'd rather have black trim, badges, grill, caps, etc.

Chrome looks good on silver. I do like painted front bumpers but they will chip if you do lots of high way driving. The chrome definitely keeps the new look

Just a thought? If not sure about all the black? I think it would look good color matching all of the chrome/badges..with all black wheels.

I like chrome on heavy duty domestics, they look like mini commercial vehicles. On my Tundra I got rid of all of the chrome, all blacked out.
