    I mean, while you're in there - this won't have any impact on starting, I don't think? But I'd doublecheck to make sure you're not double-O-ringing anything, don't have any residual stuff in each point on the rail, etc.

    Wanted to give an update, here, since I know that people seem to fall off the face of the earth after they fix issues. Long story short, I don't have any good news to share. The starting problem is now happening in the cold weather, in that if I drive the truck for any amount of time and then let it sit for 20 minutes to a few hours, it will seemingly want to stall on start up. Sometimes it will turn over and die out, altogether. But immediately trying to start again gives no issues. If I let it sit overnight, there are no problems at all when I go to start it the next morning.

    I took it into two toyota dealerships, two times each, all four times I was told I didn't have a problem as they couldn't reproduce the issue. I then took it to a reputable non-dealership toyota mechanic, and while he could reproduce the issue (after keeping my truck for a whole month) he still could not diagnose it. I've done vacuum tests, compression tests, checked timing, smoke tests. Mechanic said he did a fuel pressure test and everything was fine. I don't know what else to try except the ecm and/or wiring harness.

    I ordered an ecm from Flagship 1. It showed up with the sticker mostly faded away and the whole unit has been sandblasted. How do I know? Because the screws that hold the cover on are normally zinc plated with a gold appearance. These ones are not. And there is a section of the unit that is not sandblasted because a sticker or tape was covering it. Would you install this? Flagship 1 has been nothing but unhelpful on the phone, asking me over and over if I installed it and if it's working. I told them I don't trust it based on its appearance and based on the fact it's been sandblasted. Like why?

    Does anyone have any further ideas as to what I should try to resolve this issue? Is there any way that the new fuel pump I installed almost a year ago is bad or any way the new throttle body is bad? Is it possible that installing the 12 hole injectors fried something in the ECM or wiring? I've since reverted back to the 4 hole injectors after having them professionally cleaned.

    I personally would trust it either, especially if I payed as much as it says it cost. That thing would be back in mail PDQ.
