So i am going to shorten this up as previous post was lengthy and a time out , all is lost. Danggit !.
My 2005 V8 4.7 TRS 277,432 miles stalled out while driving, came back and died again. So i am rolling to a parking lot with key still at on and all my dash lights are on except CIL. Stopped , put in park, turn key off and proceeded to start. All i here is the nothing except action of key being turned in ignition. With meter i check battery 12.8v check all the fuses both visually and continuity. i mean including main under hood and all in cab. All good. I have a relay buddy and checked all relays and all get green light. Checked continuity with battery ground and the three grounds in engine bay. All good . I have no carbon build up on battery leads or lugs applied my dielectric grease and reapplied. Earlier this year i changed spark plugs and coil paks with denso. My gas cap is still good as i replaced that during mentioned time.. Considering circumstances of when this happened i know it narrows it down a bit but i am still without a cause to repair. And no codes with a omd checker. I do not have cash flow for stealership at all and i am now desperate. Can yall please guide me on what i can check before the lack of money stress gets me without hope. So without me jumping to conclusions what do i check.
    Philip

Your truck needs three things to run:
    • Fuel
    • Air
    • Spark

I would start looking at the intake tube, MAF (clean) and throttle body (clean). If there is a leak around there, it will cause all kinds of issues. After that, I would look at the fuel pump.

Hmm. Never had one stall out like that. Currently at work so only skimmed the post. Sounds like it may be fuel pump related. Unless you have no starter clicking at all. Then you may have a bas wire at the battery end or loose

So i this looks nasty but in all actuality it is dust that attached itself to the dielectric grease. I also added a tinned copper mechanical lug for continuity ground from battery to frame. Can i use electric cleaner on MAF to clean

Am I reading correctly that the starter is not even trying to engage?

If so, all I can think of is to check wiring all the way to the starter. Is anything loose or chewed?

Doesn't help much with the initial stall issue, unless it's chewed wiring.

Hope someone smarter than me is able to help you get it sorted.

Yes sir you are right , nothing trying to start , no noise except key positioning from lock to acc, to on, to start.

To me it sounds like you have an issue with battery connections. And those look rough. Try messing with the terminals a little and see if you get a starter noise then

Those are aftermarket terminals. Rough looking for sure @empty_lord

Explains battery having a good charge and nothing clicking when the key is engaged. Jiggle those wires and see if something changes for the better so you can get home. Change those regardless if its a problem or not.

I'm not sure... I was just thinking visual inspection for anything that could be interrupting current from battey to starter.

Throttle body is still cleanish from 5 months ago. Thanks for the good laugh of "Whats all that stuff" . Well first battery from 2007 that i put in the vehicle was a piece of crap and leaked battery acid out and totally corroded the battery hold down strap and the battery lead terminals . iI said shoot my brother has a tombstone welder. I will just weld me one up. Well metal was so thin that i had to add little chunks of stock and slag the hell out of it. It doesn't look good but fu*k it , it is better than so it doesn't matter what it looks like. Its sound though.
I cleaned the terminal's up , and lugs with some muratic acid and some sand paper inside the barrel at where it fits on posts. And still nothing as same as before.15970966660013754531536896007281.jpg

Ok so as y'all know and i just found out . The starter is located under the air intake manifold. Geesh holy moly this is not going to be fun. I quit drinking 11 years ago but i think i might start again for this fun filled time. Is there any other way to check starter without putting my mitts on it. Like i mentioned before i checked relay for the ST and it and every other relay with the buddy.

Hmmm. Two symptoms that occurred at the same time.
    1.Truck died while driving.
    2. Starter not turning when attempting to start truck.

    Some questions / thoughts:
Is there power to the rest of the truck?
Seems suspicious for an electronic nanny of some kind. Some kind of Ignition shutoff, Security system?
Ignition switch / system wiring gone bad?
Have you had the battery load tested? not voltage tested with a meter, but tested at the battery or parts store? 12.8v sounds good, likely not a dead cell.
Have you tried to jump start the truck?
I think it's highly unlikely that the starter is the issue. Truck died first. These starters are extremely reliable. Should here a "click" when trying to start if the starter is getting power. I don't think it is. If the relay is good, then there may be a current issue (bad cables) or the above mentioned ignition nanny / wiring problem?

My thoughts on the matter. Let us know what you find, good luck!

Ok Knabores, i will check those. Security light wasn't flashing but if i have a electrical problem in the system then maybe it is not getting this far to flash the light. Truly this is the way it is acting but it happened while i was driving it disabled everything. I will get battery load tested to make sure. I checked all my indicator lights/lamps front and rear and inside ( all good) . I am going to pull ignition switch and check for fouled contacts. And proceed on the factory alarm and starter disable wiring. And then on from there.
Here i normally start to over think everything but if i somehow , somewhere got access to a TechStream to get in my yard past my dog's can do a point to problem , wipe, and reprogram? Can this help me with anything? How about those omd2 wireless readers that Bluetooth to my phone , do they possess the ability modify or are they just to monitor?Obiviously am not up to date with technology but sometimes it is " adapt or die" spend unnecessary money if i can just teach this old dog new tricks.
If there is anyone in the Houston area that could use a couple cases of beer and or some 5.45x39 or 7.62x39 extras and can assist me with your TechStream ? I am willing and grateful.
Thanks for everyone's input and insight on getting me further than i would've been!
