What size winch are you guys running? I know it says it will support a 10k. Anyone running a 12k or anything else?

It says on their site that its rated for 10k winch. Technically it doesnt say thats the limit. I just wanted to make sure.

Finally got around to the install and it definitely had its moments. especially doing it by yourself. So I had the inside and bottom powder coated black and the face of it color matched. I put in the fillers for the winch because I dont have one yet and not sure exactly when Im getting one. And I installed the Rough country light bar.

How are you guys adjusting these bumpers. I know in the picture you cant see a lot but my plastic ends of my bumper are off alignment.

Is your rough country light bar have the DRL option? I called SSO and they said they specifically design the bumper to fit the light bars they offer. When asked if any 30in light bar would work they told me no. I ordered my bumper with the Heise light bar. I like the DRL feature of the rough country black series light bar. Post some pics if you have any with your light on. Thanks

Yes mine is the RC with DRL, soi would partially agree with them. I had to do some minor modification for it to fit, like grinding down the ends, not hard to do and definitely worth it. I love the DRL addition. Here are a few pics, all of these are just the DRL on not the bar itself. PXL_20220222_085841632.jpg PXL_20220222_112918585.jpg PXL_20220222_112930898.jpg

wow that looks great. After looking into the RC light bar further, i believe the conflict will be the interference with the winch. I will be mounting my winch first to see if i have enough clearance for the RC light bar. Thanks for the pics.

The winch is mounted in a different area, I cant see this bar conflicting with that at all, Dimensions are very similar to the Heise that SSO sells

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
An extra set of hands definitely helps, although you can do it (primarily) by yourself.
For me, once I had everything mounted back up, I tightened the ‘wing’ plates (that connect to the supports of the end caps) tight enough that I could adjust/align them to the fender wells and front fascia, and it hold the position. Then I had someone make sure they stayed in place while I slid back under and tighten everything up.
    Hope this helps!

SSO 100% over warn. It fits the profile of the truck better IMO

Back and forth on the bull bar and the lights. My main intent is winch mount and bumper protection, so those that have used, how is the bull bar? Is it substantial, or is it just a light mount like most bull bars? And wrt the integrated lights, are they protected from a slow speed front end collision, like a parking mistake or a back in?

On average how much did the front of yall's trucks dip down after this install + winch? Im worried that with my suspension since its so soft im gonna nose dive a bit. Im SOLD on this bumper w/ light bar cut out and no holes. Looks so good!

I have a leveling kit with stock suspension installed, no dip or rake found after install with powdercoated bumper w/ bull bar and no cutouts, BD lightbar, and SB X2O 10,000lb winch installed. I may not also be the ideal scenario for what you're asking but I hope it helps give you some assurances.

I'm hoping to install new suspension here in about 2 years time so if anything changes once that's replaced, I'll report back.

For y'all that have the bumper how long did it spend in preliminary qc? Mine has been in that stage for a month and I haven't gotten any updates.

Finally got my SSO slimline bumper installed, super happy with the quality and the fit. Install was a bit of a PITA due to getting 90% done myself, definitely needed a second set of hands to lift it and get it set.

What switch did you use for the light bar and where did you find a spot for it?

I used the same switch i used for my hood bulge LED light bar. I had to drill a small hole due to all the switch spots being utilized.

Ordered the SSO bumper and looking forward to getting it.

Question: if you get it with the light bar cutout, is it light bar specific or will just about any 30” light bar work?

I installed the Rough country 30in with the DRL option and it fit great after some minor tweaking of the brackets.

If you order it cut for the BajaDesigns light bar, they scallop the opening to match the lenses on the light bar. Not sure on the other option they have.

Mine is in for powder coat right now.

My SSO bumper arrived yesterday. Looks great, high quality. Does the solenoid for the winch have to be relocated in order for the bumper to work?
