I hate posting because as usual, some jackass will make a comment about doing a search for the question.... I did and still have questions.

I just got a 2015 CM that show up as the "SP SR5 Upgrade Package" and the "OF TRD Off-Road Package" from the Toyota website in regard to the packages that were installed at the factory. I was under the impression that the SR5 Upgrade would include the 38 Gallon tank but Ive already filled this truck two times and it only holds 26 Gallon.. What is that about?

Thank you all who are helpful and a kind community of Tundra owners.

I don't think 38 gal tank was availible till 2016. I know the TRD Pros didn't get 38 gal tank till 2016. Pro is SR5 with upgrades.

You are not tripping. The 38g didn’t come out until 2016 so you don’t have it. :D

What MPG are you getting with your tundra. I also have a 2016 SR5. Every time I fill up the tank it tells me I have 320 miles til empty but I feel that is wrong if it has a 26 gallon tank. That would be around 12.30mpg

That sounds right about mine. I get 13.2 mpg no matter how hard or gentle I drive.

I DAP tuned mine and get 519 miles out of a tank or 17.7 mpg. Hand calculated so it’s right. Tune changed my mileage. Most of the time that driving 55 to 60 mph. Before I was getting 15 to 16 mpg or 478 miles out of a tank.
You guys running stock tires or larger? I am still running stock. Figure mileage will change once I get 275 70 R 18.

That’s what I am afraid of. How much will the MPG be after modification of tires and lift.
    I don’t want to be at 10-11mpg.

The 320 run to 0 is only about 20-22 gallons back in the tank so do your math based off that and you'll be getting better than 12.3. 320/21= 15.23

    Typically:
26 gallon tank = 20-22 gallons back in
38 gallon tank = 30-32 gallons back in

Toyota has a VERY early low fuel warning.

That’s what I figured but everywhere I looked all I saw was that 2016 tundra has a 26 gallon gas tank. I figured my tundra has a 23g tank. That is the only way it could show me on a full tank I had 320 miles before empty.
    Thanks

I have a 2018 sr5 crew max with 26 gallon tank and bench seat. The 38 gallon tank and bucket seats is the first upgrade for the sr5 package as of 2018 my.

Mine said 530 miles when I filled up with 275/70 RGs. Now with studded Cooper M+S 275/70s, it says 485 upon fill up. 38 gallon tank

This is the answer. The 38gal tank didn't come with the SR5 upgrade package until 2016.

I made the same mistake. Bought a '15 last year assuming it had the bigger tank because it had the SR5 upgrade package and boy was I disappointed the first time I filled up from empty. :(

If you calculate the hash marks on the fuel gauge, each mark is 8 gals. I tow a travel trailer (5200 lbs) and to the camp ground 274 miles, and when I filled up I took 24+gals, and I was on the 1/4 mark. So with that I stilled had 16 gals left, from what Toyota has told me when the gauge is pointed to empty you still have 8 gals in reserve.
