Found this half way up the grill could it be for the fog lights? I will be digging deeper into this over the next day or so.

Very possible. Definitely not radar cruise since you have that already

Sorry to intrude on your thread. I wanted an SR crewmax in black so bad, but almost 4 months of waiting with no luck I got the SR5. Getting new tires so if any SR owners wanting to upgrade to the 265/70/R18 Geolander X-CV tires with SR5 rims alloy let me know. I will be posting pictures in the 2022 wheel thread of my rough adventure trying to pick a dang offset on my new 295/60/20 w Fuel Vapor rims.

Anyone else get an SR recently?

The guys who have theirs, you still loving it?

My 2005 F150 finally kicked the bucket and I'll be buying a truck before winter. The SR crew cab w 4x4 is very intriguing. Love the idea of adding the tow package and just going for it. The detuned SR crushes the 05 I'm used to in every metric as is. Lol

Any regrets not moving up to SR5? I'm struggling with the additional cost. The only thing I wanted that the SR doesn't have with crew max is the 6.5' bed and I was hoping for black rims, but can buy someone's take offs just as easy

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone had any luck adding fog lights to the SR?

Or a JB4 tuner to get more power, or a 32 gallon gas tank :D You know...the important stuff lol

I wonder the cost on changing the steering wheel outer ring to the TRD Pro or even SR5 Sport for the leather wrap.

Just copped these off FB Marketplace. Only 200 miles on the tires. Getting the steel wheels swapped off is a priority for me. Can’t wait to pickup my SR. ETA was thursday, then today. Currently at the port in Houston awaiting delivery to DFW. Hopefully sometime next week.

I am in DFW as well. Where did you buy/order. I’m curious what you paid if you’re willing to share!

Family Toyota of Burleson. I’m paying $41,746. That includes the tow package, running boards, black tailgate inserts and I think that’s all the “extras”, I don’t have the print-off in front of me.

Wheels look great! Thought this would look good on the SR trim and you just confirmed it.

As for your mpg, have you taken any highway trips or are you just driving in town? Had to tow or haul any weight? I’m sure it will improve over time and I would be very surprised if you get the same result on the highway, unloaded.

SR have identical transmission cooler, you can see it , from what I gather all is the same , likely turbo boost is the only difference. Tow haul mode is not needed at all, at least not with my 6500lb travel trailer. The 10 speed tranny never fishes for gears , it flies 79+ mph no problem. I have now towed all summer , going camping with the family . It is always in the right gear . Also down shifts have wimpy stopping power anyway , not like a v8 but what can you do. Under the dash is a ready plug to install a brake controller, that’s what I did . The truck pulls better than my 6.0L Silverado 25000hd gas. SRs are the best deal out there -trust me !!

Man i really think with more color matched bits and a 32 gallon tank, the SR would be hard to beat.

Beautiful truck, but damn, that mileage is awful. What's the point of the V6?

13-14 is what also I get in city traffic. But city to city varies , mines has hills and traffic light every block, and congestion, iw probably get 10-11 on the 5.7L, but on highway I can get 21 if I don’t exceed 65mph, and I have slightly larger tires , so 22 mph on flatter highways with stock tires is doable for sure

been saying it since it was released…I think (at least on paper) the SR trim is the best bang for your buck in the truck market…even without the 32 gallon tank.

You installed the OEM brake controller where it normally would be? How much was the part? Thanks so much for all the information. You 100% convinced me that my next tundra will be a black SR

@SkywalkingKenobi I have that plug too. I assumed it was ambient air temp plug. I would think if it had fog light plugs they would be near the fog lights but not sure. I will likely just wire the factory lights up with a separate relay and factory like switch. I will have to look at model that comes with fog lights to see how the wiring is configured.

Traded in my tacoma SR for a 22 tundra SR a few days ago. First mods were new to me platinum wheels and oem black running boards. What a difference it made!

Congrats! I have my eye out for a ‘22 CM 4x4 SR, trading my Limited Tacoma in on it once I can find one without a markup.

I sent a DM to Mike Sweers and asked some questions I couldn't find answers for online.

Looks like the components are the same! My decision is made I believe. Black or MGM SR, CM, 4x4. Let's goo!!!!!!
