I have the Toytec HID kit installed in a set of Spyder headlights. I'm happy with the output, but the lights shake over bumps. I've tried re-seating the bulbs, but it didn't help. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Any suggestions on how I might fix them? I know the Spyder projectors are cheap, but want to attempt to fix this before I start looking into a proper retrofit.

I don't recall mind being as bad as they are now when I first installed them. I'd mess with them more, but it's a pain in the ass having to drop the N-fab bumper a couple inches (after pulling out the light bar), then pull the grill, etc.

Why are you dropping the bumper to get the grill off????

My bumper overlaps the bottom of the grill by 1/8-1/4”. I could probably wrestle it off without dropping the bumper a hair, but would probably scrape it up pretty good doing that.

Haha, yeah. I got rid of the spyders and switched to the OEM LED headlights.

Never had any luck getting the spyders to stop shaking. I also tried a set of OEM retrofitted headlights with Morimoto projectors. Those also shook. Using a more advanced mounting method for those projectors might have helped, but I got tired of messing with it.

The OEM lights are great. Much better than the Spyders. Almost as good as a quality HID projector, with none of the additional worries of shaking projectors, failing components, etc. I used the plug and play harness made by @iHacker.

Thanks for all the help. I’m just going to order the oem and hopefully sell the spyders. I don’t feel like messing with them.
