Nope. Just the grocery store stuff or at a restaurant. To be honest I doubt I have either. The stuff at Cracker Barrell is probably as close as we’ve gotten.

Maybe I’ll pour that into another container and put some Mrs. Butterworth in there before he wakes up.

We had a good bit of rain last night, so I went out to check how the vehicles beaded. Following are two pics. Red one is my daughter’s Tundra, black one is mine.
I know the red one has Hydro2 on it, but can’t remember if I put anything sealant on after. I don’t think I did.
On mine, the black one, I put Bead Maker on last week. Yesterday I did a rinseless wash with ONR, with just a few drops of Opti-Seal in the bucket.

As you can see, hers has decent beading, mine is bone dry. I was pretty surprised to see that this morning!

Where do you buy the bead maker from? I like that it dries clean and spot free

Amazon does have it, but the price seems to jump around wildly from one week to next. I’d say Steve’s autogeek recommendation is the way to go.

Beadmaker looks impressive. If I used a clay bar would I need to wax, or could I just use Beadmaker?

Ideally, you should polish after using a clay bar, to ensure you get rid of any micro-marring that may occur, then follow up with the sealant or wax of your choice. I don't think that Bead Maker is intended to be used as an LSP, but I'm guessing it could be. The jury's still out as far as longevity, at least as far as it pertains to my use (and testing) of Bead Maker.

I never use wax at all, just spray sealant. Almost exclusively Reload until my current experiment with Bead Maker. I haven’t done a polish on mine after claying, mostly because I haven’t had the time to learn it yet. I haven’t noticed the marring using a Nanoskin mitt, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

I last clayed my truck a few months ago, and followed up immediately with Hydro2 and Reload. (I don’t think stacking those two is recommended or if it even has any benefits. It’s just my habit, and certainly haven’t seen any adverse effects.)

P&S does advertise it as a protectant, and their videos show it being applied directly after polishing.

So to answer your question, I see no reason not to use Bead Maker right after clay/wash. It’s what I would do.

It’s been dead on two weeks since I applied the Bead Maker. It’s rained several days here during that time. I haven’t washed the truck at all in those two weeks, and it’s still pretty clean. Usually after a week, it’s pretty dirty. After driving one day in the rain, it’s usually filthy. (Especially because it’s black and shows everything.) I’ve driven through quite a bit of rain in those two weeks, and it doesn’t show.

It could stand to be washed now, but it’s not really noticeable:

    D9593FB0-6E9C-4C6B-8751-AE6CA8473C44.jpg

Usually it would have a serious coating of dirt down the sides by now. It would look more like the nerf bars do at least.
The Bead Maker seems to do a hell of a job keeping anything from sticking to the paint. You can tell from the wheels and nerf bars that I haven’t washed it.

Dying to try the beadmaker but it's been raining for a week. Hopefully I get some decent weather soon.

Also wanna clay and polish my friends car. I'm gonna be trying the M205 and test out some scholls s20 black too. I'm loaded up on da pads so im ready to go, just need some weather and need to decide on what I'll use as a LSP on her car. I'm saving my reload sor my car lol. So it may be hydro2, meg's ultimate quik wax, then topped with beadmaker or duragloss aquawax.

Next spring when I do my truck again I'm gonna add in the step before sealant of carpro essence to add some gloss and fill fine imperfections I dont get with polish.

I can't wait to give it a try as well once our rain stops, & picked me up a gallon. Figured I'd use some IronX first, then some Collinite insulator wax, and finish up with a nice coat of Beadmaker. Of course, since my truck is white, it already looks good...

So I finally got to try out the beadmaker @War Machine. I have to say I really like it. I've been waiting for good weather to do it and I have really been striking out. I gave up on waiting and did it today. About 50degrees,but sunny, and windy as hell, I mean really windy. I did a good 2 bucket wash them dried off my truck and started testing the beadmaker. I really like the way it sprays and spreads over the panel. It wipes dry very easily even in the cool weather. Leaves behind a very slick finish, maybe even slicker than reload IMO. The shine is really good. I tried taking pics but the setting autumn sun impeded a decent pic. I'll try and snap one before work tomorrow. The next few days will be decent with a chance of rain while I'm at work so I'm interested in seeing how the water beads with this stuff. So far so good and living up to expectations. Thanks again Jason, I foresee this being a go to spray sealer/wax for me.
Edit. Pics added. Some of the areas that look like scratches or defects are actually reflections of the driveway, sticks and crap. It's super shiny.

I also did a 2 bucket wash yesterday, and applied some beadmaker. It definitely makes a clean truck pop. We're expecting rain the next 2-3 days so I'll get a chance to see how it holds up.

Yeah baby! Looks great! Glad to hear you like it. I’m sure you’re sick of the rain like I am, but I look forward to what you think when you see the hydrophobicity of the stuff. I love getting in after it rains and watching the water fly off when I start moving.
I have my brother in law’s truck here for the weekend to be detailed. It’s a 2007 Ford that hasn’t gotten a lot of love. Plan to wash, decon, and machine polish. I’d planned to try some newer sealant on it, but I think I’ll go with Beadmaker. It’s really impressive.

Well as luck would have it (or not) it was pouring rain on my way to work. Go figure lol, I've waited all these weeks to try it and this happens. I will say the water really beads up nice, very small beads and it pretty much sheeted off when I started to drive. So far so good

REALLY hurt backing my road princess out of the garage after the ti.e spent giving her a proper manicure. Wouldn't have do e it, but rain predicted over the next week. One of the things I noticed was the bead size of water, and how it came off at a low end speed. I'll be curious to see how easy the road splatter comes off when I groom her again :fingerscrossed:

So I got out of work about an hour ago. Every car in the lot was wet and mine was dry. It stopped raining hours ago but every car around me was wet and mine was not. Stuff seems to repel water quite well. Curious how it looks tomorrow in the sun

I can’t get a picture to do it justice, but my wife’s Sequoia looks amazing with Jescar Powerlock on it.

I did Powerlock with Collinite on mine last week. I really didn’t see any improvement from the second layer. Unless it’s supposed to add durability, I don’t see what the fuss is about.

Just switched from Finish Kare 425 to Griot's Speed Shine and I have to say this Speed Shine flat out kills the 425.

Seems to have a deeper shine and doesn't leave streaks like the 425 can do if your not on top of things. Bought a gallon and 32oz spray bottle during their last 25% off sale.

After trying Maguires, Mother's, Finish Kare, and a host of others over the past decade+ I think I'll be sticking with the Speed Shine.

I'm a big fan of the speed shine. It's also a great affordable clay lube
