If my line-x application gets postponed again I may just go that route. There is an authorized local dealer and I actually like the guy.

Linex premium in bed about 4 or 5 years and a foot up the side of the body all the way around for a couple years because it was cheaper than paying to have one door refinished over some paint issues at the very bottom. All has held up well. Very happy with it. No regrets.

Just got my truck back from the shop yesterday. It was an ordeal - Dropped it off Monday and a storm took out his system controller then when that was fixed, the motor was down. I was patient and he gave me a good price break (I had already been resceduled once....and I understand colors are a lot more work because of having to clean out the system before and after) ......... The apparent white on the top roght side is because the morning sun is hitting the surface - so I imagine the whole thing will look lighter in the sun. He talked me out of white and this color is Ford Motor company light grey. It also has the premium top coat and he painted the tops of my drawers which I will pick up on Monday; we did not want to load them on the linex until it had more time to cure.

I think I will touch up the bare metal right under the rail caps (a streak of white) with black to match the caps. Nope I just had to snap down the caps. All is good there. Tailgate needs some paint fixing on the back where the camper shell rubbed. So that will go back on then in the meanwhile, that is why God made duct tape.

We talked about the bed bolts and he does not like to remove them saying the manufacturer says you need to replace them if you remove them. It was not a biggy to me after he told me that it was relatively easy to get them out if the bed needed removal. He did remove the screws for the access panel and replace and took care of my rail system threads.

My 2015 had the plastic bed liner when I got it. With 72k on it I was curious about the condition of the bed underneath the liner so after a couple months I pulled it. Just as I thought but not horrible. Few spots of bare metal on the wheel wells and on bed rail by the cab. I cleaned everything out from pine needles to gravel and a few other things. My concern is the seam where the floor of the bed and the front of the bed meet. It’s not sealed and has crud stuck in it. I’ve picked a lot of it out but doubt I will spray bed liner over this section if I do spray in. Anybody notice this crappy little dirt catching seam? Yes I’m overthinking this but it is the most expensive vehicle I’ve ever had so.

I couldn’t get two line x shops to call me back locally. Called them at least 3 times each, filled out the on line inquiry and no response. I get all the emails from them now but couldn’t get a soul to call me back.
I went with a local 4x4 ship who uses a product called TKO liner. It was $100 cheaper, same warranty and the guy could not have been nicer. Very happy with it and looks the same as the day I got it 4 months later

The Line-x folks seem very very busy down here as well. It was quite an ordeal getting in. I am glad you got a product you are happy with.

I've been looking into this lately and got some price quotes from linex and rhino. Linex is right at $500, rhino at 489. Rhino was for their newer liner that's similar to linex, goes on hot and is harder than the original rhino liner. Linex is 45 minutes away, while rhino is 20, so when the time comes I think I'll be going to rhino, mainly because it's a lot closer and easier to get a ride to and from.

That is not acceptable. What state are you in?? I have seen some pics posted where the job appears cleaner.

OK, I have a question. I have to apologize, I know I am coming to this thread a bit late. Somewhere, not sure where, (I read this thread 3X thought it was here) someone recommended a bed liner company that was one of the original owners of Line-X and left and opened another bed liner company. His bed liner seemed interesting. Anyone have any idea what liner that is? Sorry, I know I am being kind of vague.

One last question, how abrasive is the Line-X Premium coating. From the pics it looks like rough sandpaper. So if you pushed something in or out of the bed it would shred it.

I got the following quote from my local Line-X shop:

    Bed w/ standard Line-X: $550-600
    Bed w/ premium Line-X: $650-700
Front / rear bumper caps: $200-500*
    Grille and hood bulge: $150-250*

*Lower prices apply if I pull them off the truck myself, higher prices apply if they pull them off.

I would love to do the bumper caps, grille, and hood bulge (like @2015Crewmax showed earlier in this thread). Not sure when I’ll pull the trigger on this....between this, dirty deeds 8”, and new rims / tires, I’m not sure what I want to do first.

I wouldn't call it rough. I haven't had any issues with furniture or the like. I will usually put down a sheet or something if I'm concerned. Mine has aged well; it was installed the week I got my truck in June 2014.

I remember reading that too. I think it's Bullet but don't quote me on that.

    You are correct :cheers::

From the site: "Bullet Liner is a product invented and produced by Claudio Burtin. He is the principal founder of Line-X. After he sold Line-X corporation, and properly waited out a non-compete clause, he was then able to develop and launch Bullet Liner. There are some major differences between the two, mostly being the UV stability and gloss retention properties of Bullet Liner over Line-X. Think of it this way. He made Line-X over 2 decades ago, and now Bullet is a newer, more advanced product. Think how much technology has changed in the past 20 years! Bullet Liner is an all around better."

    Anyone try Bullet??

I checked out their website but they don't have a shop around here so I'll probably try Line X.

I sent an email to the Bullet Bed liner and asked for a quote for a Tundra if they could color match the color of the truck. This was their reply:

    Good morning,

The price is $550 and it takes about 4 hours. Yes the product is a beautiful black color. We would love to spray your new truck for you and the texture and finish is for sure better then the competition. Give us a call any day to book an appointment. 203-783-0707.

    Thanks jim jr

Had the rhino liner installed on Friday. I'd say it's a cross between the line-x and original rhino. It's a much harder material, than the original rhino liner, and it's sprayed hot, just like line-x. The shop did a pretty good job of masking, I only found one spot of overspray on the tailgate, but was only a small drip the I was able to pick off. Very happy with the end result.

Do you have a Bullet Liner dealer near you.

I have it and like it a lot. Same guy who created line-x, created bullet liner. Little more cost friendly as well.

Well, I really don't know what to do about a spray-in liner now. Line-X won't send me back a quote after I asked 3 times. Bullet Liner supposedly has a shop in the next town over but they don't seem to have a website or any contact info and there's just something sketchy going on there. Rhino Liner is only installed on trucks in my city by a Ram dealership or a Ford dealership; there's no way I'm taking my Tundra there...

I guess I didn't look closely enough. Turns out they do have a phone number on the Bullet website. Looks like a mobile number but I'll give it a shot anyway.

Yah, there's just the one and they just have a phone number. No website or anything. The next closest one is one province over. Probably about a 6 and a half hour drive. The next closest one after that is in the U.S.
