Ah dang, okay. My Silverado had a heated wheel and I’d love to have the feature again, thanks for your reply.

The thing I've don't like about the Toyota heated steering wheels is that they don't heat all the way around. My Nissan Frontier heated the full 360 ans was very warm.

Yeah but I'd still take part heating vs none lol, I saw some china dudes making custom steering wheels in here, would be nice to see a heated option with an aux plug and coiled wire I'm sure we could hide under the steering column.

Yeah the Silverado had a heated wheel all the way around as well. I’d take partial though.

FYI- I bought the 84306-50200 clock spring and it has the 12/14pin connectors instead of 10/12 like stated above. Bummer because I installed heat tape and a leather wrap while I was waiting for these in the mail but it’s my fault for not double checking. Any idea where I can get the 12pin & 14pin male connectors for the steering wheel & column?

Would these parts and procedures also apply to a 2nd gen? Even if a newer steering wheel with useless features and buttons has to be used.

Cheapest option out there for a heated wheel. Found on Amazon.

I wonder which clock spring they include and which years it would plug into? Would like to make it work in my 08...

An OEM clock spring is 424 bucks. Blew mine out today. This wheel and clock spring combo are cheaper. Wonder what the quality is.

How did you manage to kill your clock spring if you don’t mind my asking?

Replacing the steering wheel with a new one and didn't use the wheel puller. Tried to gently tug it out but that didn't work and when incrementally upping the force of tugs the wheel and internals of the clock spring came out.

Ah damn. I have been considering a steering wheel replacement myself so I will keep this in mind should I go that route. And would especially enjoy having a heated wheel as well. Hopefully someone tries this one listed above so we can see if it works.

That sucks man! Its probably just a cheap China replacement like everything else lol. Can maybe buy an aftermarket clock spring on Amazon or something?

I couldn't find one, but figured if this was my "forever" truck then OEM is probably the way to go. Even if it's the same part from the same factory but with different stickers

Yea, I hear ya. A few of the online toyota parts stores are having 25% off deals and free shipping over $75. Maybe take a look. Enter the part number here: https://autoparts.toyotaofdecatur.com/ and then add to cart and enter shipping info to apply the discounts. Maybe you can even find a dealer closer to you offering the same.
