The page you link here (SK20HR11) says these are not compatible with a 2013 Tundra with a 5.7 engine.

Amazon is notorious for indicating correct parts do not fit your vehicle.

Here is a better link to verify he does have the right part number: http://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx#searchResults

Edit: Sorry, link goes back to the general search, but there are five different Denso plugs that can be used in the 5.7L. SK20HR11 is the "long-life iridium".

Were those Ebay plugs? I’m going to say possible scam and repackaging of some inferior plugs.

How does the volume of the 10" system compare to the OEM TRD Pro system? That's the only non-youtube point of reference I have.

I was being my sarcastic self responding to @Stig 's sarcasm. I did see your plugs and they indicate a possible serious issue.

You have a problem. You should be able to run your plugs 100K miles, and they still be in better condition. If all the plugs look like the one shown, then it is a systemic problem that affects all the plugs; i.e. not a coil pack. There are numerous diagnosis sites on the internet; links below are a couple of good ones.

    https://www.championautoparts.com/P...-and-maintenance/how-to-read-spark-plugs.html
    https://www.denso.com/global/en/pro...e-parts-and-accessories/plug/basic/diagnosis/

Extremely rapid electrode wear can be caused by the high voltage necessary to jump too-large a gap, so improper gap is a possible cause. From what I read, the iridium plugs come pre-gapped and are difficult to adjust. I always check plug gaps out of the box, but almost always find them to have correct gaps.

Other possible causes are engine overheating (you didn't mention any problem), incorrect heat range (you have the right part number), and loose spark plug (use a torque wrench, for more reasons than that). Possible causes that are beyond your control, and will take an above-average technician to diagnose, are incorrect ignition timing (pre-ignition) and improper fuel/air ratio (too lean). Both of those are mapped by the ECU, and will likely require professional help.

I agree with @JohnLakeman. Here's one of my plugs, changed last June at 112,000 miles. Same plug (SK20HR11), same engine, same year model. I think there is something not right with your engine.

And Amazon is wrong, as usual. These were the original plugs that came on the truck as delivered from the factory. The Denso website indicates these as the correct application. 005.jpg

Uh-huh. But I think you have bigger problems than spark plugs. Your spark plugs are just the symptom or indication that you have a problem.

Thanks. OBD shows no codes. Everything is computer controlled so it's not like my timing could be off or anything. I don't think it's ever been overheated as that needle is always dead center in this truck even when we run it hard. If something was not working right, I'd at least have some codes.

The only thing I can think of is we let this truck idle a lot when we are working in the cold (use the heater to keep equipment warm) and in the hot (use the AC to keep equipment cool). I couldn't find anything on long idle periods shortening plug life. Does anyone here know if that's a symptom? Does anyone work on police cars (as they pretty much are on/idling 24 hours a day) and know how soon those plugs get changed?
